Those are the mufflers I am running also. I like them. I have a set of GTA's I threw on. They are quieter than the gt500's but a deeper sound imo. Gonna sell them and stick with the GT500's.

Nice! Yeah, they really are great. Love the tips on them.

Just finished relocating battery to spare tire along with installing a meth injection system.

Thanks guys. Waaaay more work than I expected, but what else is there to do over the winter. Got something pretty unique in the works for my meth injection lights. Took a $15 52mm gauge and gutted it and will shine a different color light depending on the status... Low fluid, injection active, etc. I have a spare Roush vent pod to put it in. Sneak peek.

Josh,

Man you are making excellent use of the winter months for sure.

Be interesting to see that gauge lit-up after you do the full install. :hi:

Sold it... Got what I was expecting for it. Even harvested some of the nicer parts to put on the Shelby. Took the Magnaflow cat backs, clear/amber turn signals, some LED bulbs, sequentials, cross drilled and slotted rotors (did the Brembo swap like 3 weeks before buying the Shelby). It was fun, hopefully the new owner cares for it as I did. I will miss it....

Sad days, another 3 valve owner down. Hope you enjoy your new found displacement sir!

Yeah I don't see why a 3v owner trading up is sad. There is literally no regret I have from trading from my 07 to the 11. Except maybe that it cost 9k more lol

I understand. On to a newer and more potent platform for making power. I would love to have a 5.0 honestly, but after hammering down a '13 by a considerable margin the other night I think I'll keep my little 3v and turn up the boost :) [emoji12]

For sure. Youve already got all that work done to your 3v there is no point in trading it. But then again with all that work on a 5.0 platform youd have even more power.

For me it wasn't just the power/displacement increase. I'm simple. I would of been happier than a pig in shit if I ever got my 3V to 450+ hp. These GT500's are just much more refined. The seats are more comfy, the interior is much nicer to look at, and the car handles and rides great. That is from the factory. I did gobs of work to my 3V to make it handle like this car does. It is just a much more refined car.

When I started my thread asking if it was a good idea to dump the 3V in favor of a GT500, I pretty much got the "duh" answer from you guys. One said its just the name, I beg to differ. Sure there are some 3V's and 5.0's that make killer power that will waste my 5Hundo, but I'm not out there racing every weekend. Sure, I'll make the occasional trip to the track just for fun, but that's not my MO for this car.

To each their own, we all have bad ass cars. So far I've driven my Shelby close to 1,500 miles in two weeks. I think that's more than what Darren puts on his car in 12 months... All I know is that it has been a blast!

Good deal man I'm glad you're enjoying it! I know I would! That and having a Shelby you guys know that thing is already a classic and will probably appreciate in value in the future!
