From all the responses, I figured I'd stop whoring up the pic whore thread and start a thread about my recent wrap. Reason for wrapping it - I really like my car and intend to keep it for a long time. I've had it since 09 and figured its time for a color change. I decided on a wrap over a dip because the dip can get everywhere in the cracks and it is really hard to remove off of hinges etc. I also decided I probably wanted a gloss look, and vinyl seems better at replicating that. I figured wrapping my car would also protect the paint; which is in great condition. My decision in picking a color was based on one that is not common to any S197 Mustang. I originally chose 3M Gloss Liquid Copper because it was very close to the Saleen super expensive custom color, Beryllium, which I really like:

I found a site that sells most wrap brands, Metrorestyling.com; and I started ordering samples of wraps that I thought I would like. I ended up changing my mind a lot. Some other colors I considered were:

Oracal Gloss Aubergine/Bronze colorshift:

I finally came all the way back to the original choice, 3M Gloss Liquid Copper, and I'm glad I did. Pics to follow:

That looks amazing!

I really want that black rose on my car!

Drop dead sexy.

Thanks everybody. From the great responses from everyone; seems like I made a good choice. You really don't know until the car is finished. I came very close to choosing Black Rose. Changed my mind late in the game.

Wow. Looks amazing! I did the hood on my SRT and love it. What do they charge for a full wrap of the entire car?

Curious to know the same thing. Great job on the color choice.

I answered this over on the pic whore thread. Just gonna copy and paste here:
It depends on the installer and the type of wrap and what all you want done. My installer actually removed the front and rear bumpers, mirrors, door handles, fuel door etc. Other places I checked with did not remove so much; so obviously their prices were cheaper. I also had the door jambs wrapped, which is extra. The guy that installed mine had to take more time because of the Saleen body kit; but I also had no roof to wrap. My total cost was around $2300. He also installed some HID headlights for me and that was included. I got a basic gloss metallic wrap. Chrome and specialty wraps can be much more expensive. I got samples for a buck each at Metrorestyling.com. The installer said wraps can last 3 to 5 years of daily driving. My car is a weekend cruiser for the most part, so it could last longer. We shall see. I will report back on longevity.
