Looking at an '18 GT auto. With the auto and perf package it stickers a little over $40000.
What's a reasonable expectation on my part for an out the door price?
Thanks.

Look up the invoice pricing and offer $400-500 over. Dealer has to make a living or they disappear

Depends on the dealer, their margins, time of year, etc. Some can and do offer much better deals than others. Good deals can be had if you shop around.

This is spot on. There are a lot of factors. How many Mustangs do they move? What is there allocation? If they don't move a lot of them there allocation is limited and they might not be so prone to move on price.

A quick look at several of the local dealers shows them at $5250 off MSRP on 2018's and $7500 off MSRP on 2017's
Don't be afraid to pit a couple dealers against each other and walk out if it's not going the way you want it to.

Wow, $5250 off MSRP? You serious?
I thought I would be lucky to get a little over 3k off sticker.
This is good news if doable.
