The Coyote has 4 valves but I can see why you would be bothered by the two being used in the same sentence.
I know that, lol, but he started this whole thing talking about a 4v head swap so it's super confusing at this point what tf is going on in this troll fest.

-I'll likely be building a coyote as of now, the block will need to be sleeved and its 4v heads will require porting.

-My 3v will get put back together with the coyote's Rods and pistons. Then, this engine will lye dormant untill otherwise needed.

-If i can find a scream'n deal on a GT500 motor before ordering parts for the coyote, we'll definitely go that route. Otherwise, If the coyote build happens, ill be in need of another coyote long block, to have on-hand as a spare.(this was previously recommended to me during the 3 valve build and I thought it was a smart idea)

Almost Everything I have in my possession, I own outright. Excluding that little 4 bangger i just bought the ol'lady. So, comfortably im going to open up a small line of credit to make this all happen before the season begins. Im going for broke with the 4v build an once this max effort endeavor comes to an end. I'll just swap back in the 3v, stay under 7kRPM/ 800HP and Be happy with it. Buy this time i'll need to adress having kids, buying a nicer house, yada yada yada And obviously won't be able to afford pushing my toys to the absolute f****** limit anymore.

Sorry I've been so all over the place lately. This obviously contibutes to confusion, i just haven't had time for proper planning. Work is always unbelievably complicated, and I've taken on additional projects to fund my race car Ambitions. This hasen't allowed much time for real constructed thought and as such, I've made some poor decisions do to the stringent time management works required. I feel asthough this was somewhat inevitable, or a necessary evil so to speak.

I look forward to alloting myself engineering time for this build, but i can't just yet, if anything goes south at work I could find myself in a bad postion.

The Insight this website has provided thus far has been absolutely invaluable to me. If anybody has recommendations moving forward with the coyote, please let me know.

To the naysayers, I'll make sure to find a "troll" sticker and put it on my bumper, someday im sure you'll see it.

Contributors, The educational time members invested for me is appreciated, and it does not go unnoticed.
Thanks, Tom.

Also, what ever happen to that JeremyH dude? He was pretty damn sharp and used to weigh in on s*** here.....

Things are getting really interesting. I’m Putting together an Anticipatory parts list now, Once done I’ll post it in excel format. If you see any unfavorable items for this new turbo coyote application please let me know.

I think this might be the most impressive max effort build out of a 3V that I have seen; '06 3V, '14 interior, built 10.5:1 4V, twin 67s, 9" rear, 1500rwhp, and still a manual trapping 190+ in the half mile.

Its gunna need a turbine if we’re gunna lay down some real power....obviously, right?

lol I'm re-evaluating the suspension systems right now and I’m getting a pretty big kick out of the whole “hook’s” law thing hahaha

How much power are you looking to make? Might have missed it. Any FI on a 5.0 will get you over 1k. And no reason to go complicating things with other engine management systems when guys make 1k+ on ford ecms. If you are shooting for some 1500+ hp, 200mph runway car, etc..then you'll need to save a years salary to build it properly.

Well the actual HP number doesn’t really matter to me, It just needs to perform. And in my mind a small TVS would hit a ceiling before a large turbocharger would tap out.

I like the idea of aftermarket computers for functions like switching operating maps/tables during operation, fine tuning Etc.

I guess building the machine then testing its capabilities on all fronts, this is what I find exciting and fun. (excluding competitive “preped” track drag racing).

Will it go 200+ idk but I’d be surprised if it doesn’t, I mean I’ve already had it flat out around 170 a few times.
events like the Texas mile sound like a blast, will it set records....who knows, probably not. Other events like the pikes peak hill climb & road Merica also give me a giant throbbing boner, so I’m not counting anything out.

Do I think building a sub 9 second street car that can handel is possible.... we’ll see, but jumping to absolutely NOT isn’t the right mindset when building something. I mean look at something like the Saturn 5 rocket, do you think that was built by a bunch of guys thinking

“Nope! Not fucking possible, why are we wasting money building this stupid motherfucking rocket, this shit’ll never make to outter fucking space”

Ok, the biggest TVS available is the TVS-2650. What about a big twin screw from frpp whipple, k bell etc. They make those pretty damned big, like 4 L and bigger..and liquid cooled if you want.

I don't think going 200 mph in an s197/s550 is the greatest idea...

Even MPSS tires with a 'Y' rating are only rated at 186 mph. 'W' are rated at 168 mph. Drag radials are typ rated at 150 mph.

The 13/14 GT-500 was just shy of 200 mph when ford tested it on their track. Forget what tires were used.

To be on the safe side, he could wind it up to 200 mph.... on the dyno. No wind resistance on the dyno either.. then you get to use OD..and really wind it up to well > 200 mph.

You'd need some serious aero to do it safely.

Also, where did the picture of Mary holding the Coyote come from, because that's funny right there I don't care who you are.

gt500 is a different animal.. I suppose if they can go 200 then so can any old S197. Just add splitter. Don't expect it to be that safe.

man, I can't wait for the new one!
