Almost sounds like you got a bad alternator throwing off the cam sensors and doing the nasty with the timing. datalog how much timing you seeing the top end of the pull maybe the car just pulling back timing Is there a dyno graph?

As long you are getting any kind of spikes, voltage drop, whining from your alternator you will loose your cam sensors. They run of the same harness and a bad diode will allow the ripples to travel through the harness and bug up the pcm from reading the cam sensor. Happen to a lot of people and...
