the seal might have been nicked when doing the clutch
not a difficult task, but you may want to make sure you have a torque wrench for tightening driveshaft/flangebolts down, mainly a screwdriver or seal remover to remove the seal. you do not need to drain the transmission, raise the rear axle...
My advice to you would be to take measurements and compare the track pack suspension parts to the oem parts. You might only be able to install certain parts. Some sites such as AmericanMuscle or LMR list some
parts are compatible from the 10-14's to s197.

glad you were able to fix your issue. a lot of the time the S197 has water built up under the cowling due to debris getting stuck in the drains and spilling it into the cabin filter. this happened to me a few times. it likes to dump water onto the passenger floor board.
how much for front/rear bumper support foam and lower wind deflector shipped to 77090
also would you be willing to split the driver fuel pump from the passenger side sender. only need the driver side hat/pump assembly.
