If I were going to do something like this, I would not go with a 5.0L. I would go with a Ford crate 427 engine and make my Mustang something 'special' :)
Well, It's been a long time. You posted this problem on a lot of Mustang Forums. Was it gear whine or not? My 3.73 gears whine a little but I like it :)
I believe the Airaid is a no tune needed cai. My C&L cai is a no tune needed too :) I messed up a part on my Steeda Watts Link, I called them and they sold me the one part I needed. I would call Airaid and ask them if they would sell just the parts you need. Let us know what they say ...
Looks like Ford made the shifter look more like a manual shifter because you have a manual mode. With the T shifter you would lose your manual shifting :(. I think :)

I ordered my v6 with the optional 3.31 gears. This should have been the standard gear ratio. I had my local Ford dealer install my...
Replace the fuel pump, should come with a new filter. Remove your back seat, everything is there and looks like it won't be hard to do yourself. I couldn't find a youtube video on how to do it but some videos are close to it. Please disconnect your battery before you start :)
Exhaust clamps missing? Maybe the last owner had long tube headers and an aluminum driveshaft then installed the factory stock parts before he sold it?
