They finally replaced the entire back end. Diff, axles, housings, pinion bearings and race, etc.... Problem seems to be solved.

Thanks. I removed the dust shields a while back. And I did have it up on jack stands to try to isolate the noise, but I'm pretty sure its only when the rear suspension is loaded. The dealer replaced the pinion bearings and race, axles seals, replaced the fluid and inspected the axles and tubes...

Metal on metal noise from the back end, I think driver's side. This has been going on for a couple months and getting progressively worse. I took it to the dealer (since it's under warranty) who basically told me that it had to be rotors or pads, which I replaced already. I told them I suspected...

Yeah, I saw your thread and thanks for the install videos, they'll really help. I just wondered where things ended up for you on the contact thing. This is my DD as well as my track car so I just hope the impact noise doesn't drive me nuts. I have an hour commute, each way so.....

That's what I thought too but I don't see anything in the instructions that came with my watts. I'm putting ST XTAs on first, then the watts after I get the coilovers sorted. Curious as to whether or not you've had anything hitting in the back since you're on the same shocks/springs.

Wow, great thread! I just happen to have ST-XTAs, Strano adj. front/rear bars, BMR LCAs and Relo brackets, and a BMR Watts all sitting in my garage waiting for install. Reading all this is going to save me a lot of trial and error. Thanks for sharing your experience.

Order placed! Been following this thread, and thanks for all the info, pics and feedback all. I placed my order today, couldn't pass up a sub $500 Watts. Also got the LCAs and ReLo bracket. I'll post impressions after I get it all installed.

Copy that. I'm doing HPDEs not autocross but I do tend to hit the limiter in 4th a lot on the track I run, so gearing down might be a good idea. Thanks for the advice.

What are the pros/cons to running on a smaller than OEM diameter tire? I've been looking at 35s vs 40s for 18x10 wheels I just picked up for track days. Seems like a 35 profile is a good inch less than the stock 19s that came with my trackback, and I just wondered if that will have any kind of...
