17x9.5 unilug race stars with 295/45/17 MT radials, pickup only in E TN

17x9.5 needs no relocation brackets or anything. I went with the 17s because I think it looks better than the 15/17 combo. Plus with the offset on the 17" wheels the tires are completely inside the wheelwells unlike the 15s that stick out a little. Here is what they look like on the car:

17x9.5 unilug race stars with 295/45/17 MT radials, pickup only in E TN

****SOLD**** Had these sold a while back but the buyer never showed to pick them up. Pair of polished 17x9.5x17 (7" backspace) unilug Race Stars with MT Drag radials, 295/45/17. I bought both the tires and wheels brand new in March, they have maybe 50 street miles and exactly three dragstrip...

    94-14 Mustang SVE Drag Wheels

There is no reason to hate on Racestar, they brought some inexpensive drag wheels for larger brake late model cars. The unilug did kinda suck on Fords but they are usable if you are careful and not in a hurry. Like Beefcake said the GM guys didnt care because they use centered washers. Unilug...

    94-14 Mustang SVE Drag Wheels

Acorn lugs are NHRA legal, as long as the threaded part of the stud goes into the hex portion of the nut. In reality the shank style with stock studs is NOT NHRA legal since the stock stud doesnt make it into the hex on most wheels, Then the only thing you are relying on in the strength of the...

    Hoosier QTP pressure suggestions

Yea, I had a 10 second 4th gen f-body and I ran 16" bias ET streets and the stock 245 or whatever they were 16" radials in the front and it was a death ride lol. The tubes were more for air not leaking out but they do get a little stiffer with them, I've ran the QTPs with and without tubes and...

    Hoosier QTP pressure suggestions

I used to run 11.5x28 QTPs at 14.5psi with tubes on a low 9 second car so 15 is a good starting point. Can always air up if you are hooking well..

    94-14 Mustang SVE Drag Wheels

I'll post some pics when I get them, I'll probably end up using some 255/60/15 MT drag radials I have here on them, since I hooked fine with 265/40/18s on stock wheels I think the 255s will work fine in a 15" DR. I'm looking forward to not screwing with the offset washers and rings and only...

    94-14 Mustang SVE Drag Wheels

Very nice and well priced too. Another vote for a 17x9.5 with a 7" backspace rear.

School me on 17" front runners.

They are bias tires, like I said similar in construction to a Moroso DS2 or M/T ET front. I got them from Jegs, the main seller/distributer is dragracetires.com in Chattanooga TN.

School me on 17" front runners.

I just mounted up some phoenix 4.5x27x17s, they are very similar to a DS2 or ET front as far as profile. I didnt like the 185/55/17 M&H radial, way too short for my liking so I switched to these. Downside is the weight rating of 920lbs, I wouldnt street drive on them even though they ave a DOT...

    Cutting timing cover

I did mine with an angle grinder with a regular metal grinding wheel (not a cutoff wheel), those thin cutoff wheel slice through thin aluminum pretty quick - as you seen. Myself I would order a nicely done pre-cut cover or trim a newer cover with a mill or something. That way if you decide...

    2011 Mustang GT base auto, Roush/TVS, $25K

I dunno, I paid a little over 26K for it new, if you get 50% of the mod money (parts only, labor doesnt count) you put into it to it you are doing OK. I have checked around and I can get 21-23K on a trade, probably closer to 20-21K in 'real' money plus the tax savings, I probably have 8K in...
