I get the weight reduction – that’s not the question.
I’m wondering why all aftermarket DS’s are 1 piece when Ford used a 2 piece? Or maybe the question is why did Ford use a 2 piece? Is it just easier and/or cheaper to manufacture and/or install on the line?
Thanks. The car came with the shorties, not sure why they didn't go for the LT at the time, but I'd like to go that route once $ is available. Though if I pass on the intake and TB, I could do the headers instead.

I'm looking for some feedback on these mods. I've done some research but I'm not a mechanic/tech so I figured ask for some help.

Yeah, I guess hot is relative. You can grab the handle but it's uncomfortable. Been in a ton of other performance cars and this is the 1st time I've ever come across something like this.
If it's normal, I won't worry about it.
