    camping/hiking/backpacking

Did a 20 mile hike around Chicot State Park yesterday. Pack weighed in at 22.5 pounds. Not bad, took me 8 hours including about 30 minutes for lunch. Ran into a decent amount of wildlife including a speckled king snake.

Nice view, we'll check it out and see if we can fit it in.

We are going to do Clingmans Dome and Chimney Tops. Probably a couple of less challenging hikes with my father in law (he's in his 60's and not the best of shape) like Rainbow Falls. REI does carry Osprey, so they may have it there. We are going to check out that REI store in Knoxville while...

    camping/hiking/backpacking

Went a 12 mile day hike yesterday, saw plenty of wildlife, a few water moccasins including this guy. He was so well camouflaged in the shade, I didn't even notice him until I was about 3 feet from him. You can see just how bad the flooding was here just last week, the white on all the trees...

We'll, it'll probably be a year or so until we go there. Maybe you'd like to plan a trip? Sadly, I'd be driving my wife's Subaru or my truck, most likely not the Mustang.

We're definitely looking forward to it. This is our proposed itinerary with some alternates in case the trails in the Many Glacier area are closed due to bear activity: Arrival: Sunday afternoon Night 1 (Sunday): Stay at Rising Sun Motor Inn...

Yeah, we have all the equipment like that as well. What pack are you looking at? I just picked up an Osprey Talon 33, really comfortable pack, lightweight, hydration compatible, lots of useful features, lifetime warranty for about $130. Although I'm pretty partial to Osprey Packs, my large...

    camping/hiking/backpacking

Anyone else here do any of these things regularly? My wife and I go hiking almost every weekend, with a couple backpacking trips a year. Right now we're planning week long trips to Smoky Mountain national park in November and Glacier National Park next June.

    Bows

Kicking this thread back up from the dead, one of my hobbies is archery. I'm not really big into it, I have never bow hunted (I have hunted with firearms), but I do enjoy casual shooting, my wife and I usually target shoot together. I have a PSE Brute Force ready to shoot and she has a BAER...

    Horn relay

I was able to find a schematic of the dash in the far corners of the internet, it appears the only relay is behind the dash best accessed by removing the radio. I hear it clicking under there, so chances are the relay is good and the horns are going bad or there's a bad ground at the horns. I...

    Horn relay

Yeah, that's still only giving the specific fuse for the horns. I appreciate the help though.

    Horn relay

I've been having an issue with my horn the last few months. Sometimes it works fine, sometimes it doesn't work at all. Usually when it won't work, if I hold it down long enough it will start to work. Every time I push the horn, whether it works or not, I can here the relay clicking under the...

    Anyone build model cars?

Yeah it pretty intense. What you don't see is all rigging work I did on the cannons on the lower level. The kit can be bought online or at most hobby shops. It's probably the most popular model ship kit out there. It's a Revell 1:96 uss constitution kit. They also make a 1:196 scale that a but...

    Anyone build model cars?

Oh man, you wanna talk about mad, I didn't even try to fix them, I just threw them all away. Didn't touch another kit for over 10 years. I never understood how he managed to destroy all of them without anyone wondering where he was? It must've taken him hours to do.
