First sorry for my stupidity. I recently bought a 2007 Roush stage 3. It has the normal Roush shifter that makes the shift seem like it's a mile long. What should I do to shorten up the shift. Do I need to put a short throw shifter in it or would it help to just replace the shifter?

Either a Barton or MGW will be your best bet. I personally have a Barton and love it. Never driven a car with MGW so I don’t know the difference, but those that have it, swear by it.

If it has both the Roush shifter and long Roush chrome arm you can replace the arm with a short factory one. The Roush shifter is already a short throw, it's just the long arm that makes it seem like it's not.

Great that's exactly what I was wanting to know. I thought they came with the Roush short throw but wasn't sure if just changing the shifter arm would help. I will change it and see how much of a difference it makes.
