I am new here as I just got a low mile 2007 California Special a few months ago. I have a restored 67' Mustang that I cruise and show and am active on a couple of the vintage mustang forums as well as owning a couple Fox bodies in the past.

I spent the past couple months searching on Google, here, and other forums and it seems like it's hard to find current info when it comes to the 05-09 cars - most of you have moved on to 10+ it seems.

I am looking at the AMR Dark Stainless in 19x10 with a +48 mm offset and want to put 275-40's all the way around. I will be lowered 1" on Ford "P" springs.

Can I put 275-40's all around with no rubbing?
Will the center caps fit on the fronts?

As a new guy to the late model stuff I sure appreciate any advice and pics if you have them.

Thanks in advance!

RIP - You will be missed
10" is a good wheel width for 275/40's, but I think the +48 offset is going to make things tight on the strut side up front. Tight enough to where some combinations of specific tire models and strut models might work, while others might not. Something closer to +42 or +43 would be better here. Out back should be OK with either offset.

I ran the 19x10 AMR's on my '13 for a while, with that exact tire size, 275/40/19.
No issues anywhere. If anything, I wish the front offset was something like 35mm, just to bring the face of the wheel out a bit more for a more flush look.

This was the fit and clearance:
(I was running 20x10 rears with 305/35/20 drag radials)

About 3/16" of room between the tire/wheel and strut:

And I'd recommend being careful handling the wheel/tire assembly once mounted/balanced since the face of the wheel will probably portrude a bit beyond the sidewall of the tire, and letting the wheel fall on its face or back will make you cringe when you hear that metal-on-asphalt sound:

Thanks, do you think my 08' will be the same as your 13 ?

You were able to use the center caps correct?

Yeah I don't see why the '08 would be any different, the specs have been the same for all 05-14 cars.
Only time there's a difference is when the car is equipped with Brembo brakes.

As far as the center caps, when I bought the wheels I had AM include their all-black caps, and yes they fit just fine.
I hated the original center caps that AM had, they used to have this gaudy raised chrome lettering that actually spelled out "AMERICAN MUSCLE" right on there ... I was not gonna run that.

You could also use a 3mm hub centric spacer, like the HR brand. There is ample stud length on the oem front studs to handle a 3mm spacer. Rear oem studs are shorter than the oem front studs. Even with my 3mm front spacers, I still have more stud length than the rears. Then ur 48mm offset would be reduced to 45mm. I would not go any more than 5mm on oem front studs. Any thicker, and then you have to use longer front studs, like the arp 3" and arp 2.5" types. Oem is aprx 2".

If you add any amount of negative camber..via either camber bolts or front strut mounts that include some camber adjustment, ( like the steeda HD units), then front tires are really tucked in at the top. The steeda strut mount I use, doesn't change the gap between wheel + strut. The entire ensemble just tilts inwards.

Cool, just the info I need. They have new center caps now, they are the color of the wheel and have "AM" recessed on them - not too bad.

Good stuff. I thought about using a spacer if I had to but wasn't sure what I could get away with without having to get new studs.
I shouldn't have to use camber bolts or anything should I? I am only going to lower it 1".

I used a small spacer on the front with my 19's, the spacer was about 5mm thick at most, no issues.
As far as alignment, I still don't have any camber bolts, and I'm only at -1.7 front camber, not much out of spec. Car has GT500 strut mounts, '05-'10 Koni Sport struts/shocks and Steeda Sport springs, plus the weight of the Whipple bringing down the front end a bit more, so I'm assuming the front end is at least 1.5" lower than stock.

So the above clearance pics are with the spacer or without?

im running 18x10 SVE Drifts with a 285/40r18 tire on a '13 mustang with H&R sport springs (closer to 2" drop) with zero issues rubbing. did have to trim the bolt that holds the sway bar link on as it would contact the tire. No issues with the end link and wont hit the tire. You should not have any issues.

I have 19x10 AMR's in a square set up with no rubbing. The tire size is 285/35/19.
One caveat as mentioned above is the end link bolts. My car has aftermarket adjustable units so there is no interference.

Just to close the thread out.
I got a test fit 19x10 wheel from AMR and it DID fit. There was only less than 1/4" clearance to the strut but it fit. I wanted to use 275-40's and wasnt sure how they would fit though so I went 19x8.5 with 265 40 19's
Thanks to all that replied.
