Tiger, is that the demon that I've read about going straight to the track and testing it out? I know there's not many of those bad boys out there and looks exactly like it. I did tell the wife that after I finish school that I may get a hellcat vs another mustang. I know she really wants a new 5.0. My 3v I'm only going for a mild build. Just a vortech v3 or novi1200 maxed with well built heads with comp springs OEM spec and all new timing gear. I'm shooting for a very reliable 500rwhp daily on 93 octane that is just the way I like it suspension wise, motor, interior and exterior. Its my baby. Which the wife likes to drive also lol. So after school it's either a hellcat or a new 5.0 or possibly gt500. Depends on what she really wants I guess. Wish I finished school earlier before the army. But going through school I've been designing stuff for my car and I do have a dream to eventually mold that into a company focused on the mustang.

Good luck on your Bullitt sale by the way. I hope it goes to someone who will treat it well and enjoy it as well.

I'm not really sure if your referring to my buddies Demon in the above post I showed it.

If your talking about that specific Demon I don't really know what he is going to do with it.
He has not really said and I have not seen it again after the day we picked it up from the Dodge Dealer he ordered it from.
I don't know if one would run the crap out of a basically $100K Dollar car or not.
I know in my case I would not but another person might take it to a Drag Strip who can say ???

My new Yellow Hellcat is NOT going to be on any Drag-Strip, period.

The 2008 Bullitt Mustang is still at Gateway Classic Cars.

So when are you going to trade in the hellcat on a 2019 Bullitt ? That 2019 bullitt looks bad ass to me, it's the real deal. Manual only though.

Well here is what I actually think regarding the soon to be 2019 Bullitt Mustang.
To me personally it's just another Mustang.
That's not to say there's anything wrong with that but to me if I was still into Bullitt Mustangs ???
I'd Damn sure Not be selling mine, (Trying to Sell it) !!!

But for those that really are into the Steve McQueen thing and like the new 2019 I think they will enjoy it.
If I was in the Market and I'm not but if I was I wouldn't remotely be interested in it with a Manual-Transmission-Only offered.
Has nothing to do with me Hating on Manuals as personally I think they are Fun to drive according to where one lives.
Where I live a Manual transmission car is nothing but a Royal-Pain-in-the-Ass.
Just to much traffic here to really be able to enjoy the manual.

Gateway Classics has 3v's with bolt-ons or a supercharger on a stock engine with 50k-70k miles listed in the ranges of $16k to $22k. There is one with a 302 stroker/forged internals/D1SC Procharger and a Level 6 TR-6060 making 875whp listed at $26k. I think Terry could get an honest $30k for his.

You'll realize that you're driving just another Dodge soon enough. A bunch of 3rd party parts put in a sub part fit and finished body that is over weight and looses races to bolt on Mustangs on the regular.
What's the point of spending all that money for the horsepower if you won't put your foot in it?

So they're listing an 875 whp Mustang at $26k, and that's the list price, most sales happen below that in the used-car market.
Next to that 875 whp Mustang listed at $26k is Terry's 820 whp Mustang listed at $59k.
If it listed at $29k he'd at least be getting offers, but at $59k I think that place is about to start charging Terry storage, cuz it ain't selling anytime soon, not for anything even remotely close to that.

Yeah that's what I'm getting at. Just another way of saying Terry won't get asking price for the car as it sits.

While looking at the seller's website for other cars I'd rather have for $59,000 (and there are several), I've come to notice that 99% of the asking prices must have been arrived at in a heavily inebriated state. I guess it's a common affliction for owners putting their babies on consignment - they all think they're worth way more than they are.

I think a lot of that comes from factoring labor cost into these “builds” or having to do something several times over.

As I'm sure most are fully aware, labor costs associated with aftermarket build upgrades don't increase the value but rather decrease the value further as opposed to keeping the vehicle in question "OEM" stock. Sure they make think they're worth more in value, but as far as market value is concerned, it could care less how much money is spent on build upgrades and labor costs. Unless we're talking about special edition cars such as the GT350/GT500 that came modified from the factory? As far as the market is concerned, a 2008-09 Mustang Bullitt isn't worth much more over a plain jane Mustang GT no matter how much the owner modifies it nor no matter how much it cost for labor. At any rate, If I were the owner? I'd just put everything back to stock, sell the car for around 22-25k and then take the aftermarket parts and sell them separately. This way there's a better chance of at least recouping half of what it originally cost for the aftermarket upgrade parts

The owner in question does none of his own work so he'd be paying inflated labor costs to return the car to stock and possibly having to repurchase OEM parts to put back on. I don't have the inclination to run the numbers, but it's probably easier and cheaper to sell it as-is, even if he loses 100% of his "investment" in aftermarket parts. It's a clean 2009 Bullitt; nothing more. It's worth probably 10-20% more than a stock Bullitt, but that doesn't put it anywhere near the $50k range. I hope for Mr. Honaker's sake that he revisits reality, prices it to at least garner interest, or just keeps it.
