The Hawk HPS 5.0 have almost zero brake dust, even after an autocross. I've used them all the way down to below freezing temps without issue, though I experienced a bit of brake fade on the other end when doing some mild hot lapping at Pitt Race. For street use and autocross, they can't be beat.

You have no reason to use DBA rotors. I love those things, but they are very expensive and not worth it unless you MUST have slotted rotors to prevent pad glazing, etc.

Hey thanks Sky, made my decision much easier. I'll just get the HPS 5.0's.

My wife got me a Cervini's front spoiler for Christmas, and I installed it this morning.

Hey, wow, that looks pretty good! It really...

Fuck you, Cervinis. Eat a bag of dicks. I spent 3 hours screwing with this plastic piece of shit, and it will not fit on the driver side. There are no fasteners in that area, so there's no way to draw the spoiler flush with the fascia.

I emailed those shitbirds and am waiting on a response. At this point, I'm ready to go to my local body shop and ask them to fix it.

All my Cervinis stuff seem to fit great for while and now not so happy. After pulling the front bumper and looking at it for a year in the garage its a pile of shit how the grill fits/how it fits around the lights. Good luck and give them Hell.

On my 2010, I used the 10-12 CDC lower chin spoiler, fits good. Also has front brake ducts built in. Installed the optional front brake ducts..after the fact. That duct kit came with 2 x silicone brake duct hoses + 2 x new 14" dust shields + 2 x pieces to connect the hoses to the chin spoiler. No more brake stink using HPS brake pads. The only time I would cover the brake ducts on the front of the cdc chin spoiler is if (a) knowing I would be driving down a long dusty road. (b) bedding in new brake pads. Otherwise, I leave em open all year round. IF required, easily covered with some black gorilla tape.

https://www.americanmuscle.com/mustang-chinspoiler-10gt-unpainted.html . Most folks buy the unpainted version. Mine stays intact at 140 mph. AM has 100+ customer pix of it. No gaps, fits flush.

Cervini's emailed me back and said "Did you use the tape?"

Yes, I used the fucking tape. It obviously didn't help.

No further response. And I didn't keep the box it came in, because it fell apart during shipping (thanks, UPS!), so I guess I'm either paying a body shop to fix it or ripping the whole thing off and throwing it in the trash.

Fuck Cervini's.

Have you tried a heat gun and massage the part over. Maybe doing that off the car to keep the paint from getting hot.

Cervini's never even bothered to mail me more tape. Don't ever do business with Cervini's. They're a shit company.

At this point, I'm angry enough to pitch this piece of crap in the trash and dispute the charge on my credit card, but my wife got it for me for Christmas, and I don't want to be an asshole. So I dropped the Mustang off at the body shop this morning. Fingers crossed it doesn't cost more to install it than the part is worth.

I got one of there spoilers for my '07 that had all kinds of pin holes. By the time they got done body working that and painting it, it was ugly. And that with me installing it. I don't like there finished produces.

I went to pick up the 'Stang on Tuesday night, and the spoiler had popped off in the same dang spot. "WHAT?! I used the strongest tape 3M makes!" said the auto body guy. "Let me keep it one more day; I'll get it to stay."

So I got a call on Wednesday morning: "My son and I stayed late last night, removed the tape, mixed up some two-part epoxy, and glued that sumbitch on. Then we gently lowered the car so the front of it was resting on a box to keep pressure on it all night, pulled it out in the sun this morning to let it cure, and now I'm pretty sure you could jack the whole car up on that lip."

LOL. At least I won't have to worry about an autocross cone knocking it off.

TL;DR: Cervini's sucks, and their parts require way more effort to install than they should. Fuck Cervini's.

Hey Sky, I was wondering how is this Eaton trutrac you have for daily driving? Is it good on the streets and not too aggressive? I have been reading that people "say" A higher bias ratio is not good on the streets for your daily needs. I daily the car and every now and then on free time I will drag about once every 2 months and hit a road course or auto cross twice a year each if I have the time.

Thanks
James

That's why I always tell the wife not to try and surprise me with car parts. I'm just too particular with that shit. And yes, I would hurt her feelings before making a shit part work on my car. Lol!

It is completely fine for daily driving, if you don't mind the occasional drivetrain noise coming from the rear during decel. Anyone who says you don't want a high bias ratio for the street doesn't know what they're talking about.

The Eaton unit is waaaaaay better in the rain than the stock one.

Also do you know what torsen is in the track pack mustang gt? Is it the t-2 with the 2:1 bias ratio?

The track pack Torsen was a 2.7:1, I believe

I concur. The eaton tru-trac is totally transparent to the end user. It does it's job, applying tq to whichever rear wheel has the most traction. I can just barely hear the drive train noise on deceleration... (stereo off). Any type of aftermarket exhaust setup will cover it up. Superb in the wet / rain.

Sky is correct, the track pack cars got the 2.7:1 bias ratio. The eaton is 3.5:1 The eaton is an all round superb LSD, works for everything from drag racing /street racing /auto cross / tracking / powering out of corners etc. You won't blow it up, maintenance free, and runs cool, no differential cooler required. No silly carbon fiber clutch plates to melt. No synthetic used, and no friction modifiers either. And 1/2 the price of the Torsen.

Exactly how does it behave with leading throttle in a wet corner and how much differently do you have to drive?
