I posted this question recently on a thread re: 2018 10 spd 0-60 etc. and got no response.
Hopefully I won't invoke the wrath of the forum gods, but so be it.
Anyone have an opinion on whether this exhaust option is a benefit power wise, or does it just sound better?
Chevy has a similar offering and claims 6 hp.
Thanks.
Jack

Maybe nobody knows the answer yet and that is why you didn't get an answer.

If I were in the new Mustang market, I would sure get the active exhaust. Quiet when driving around and loud when you get on it. That would be a perfect world to me :)

Interesting factoid, you can't get the exhaust option without spending an additional $2000 for the 'Equipment Group' which is zoned ac, a fancy stereo and being to reconfigure the tach speedo about 4 different ways.
So the exhaust thing ends up costing $2900.
No thanks.

We're not even two months into the new year and as a $2K option...probably not too many testers...yet.

Ask your Ford Dealer...they might know, but IMO - you can get a pretty sweet exhaust for way under $2K...maybe headers too.

Put the $$ into LT's and a new tune. That would then provide for a definite performance enhancement.

My thoughts as well.
Saw a video with an '18, Lund tune, air intake and headers, 500 whp.
