I've had an MSD Shift light part #8963 in my car for a few years, I just noticed that it's no longer activating / lighting up at the set RPM's. It powers up when the key turns on doing the normal flashing sequence, etc. but it does not light up at the set RPM. I checked all wiring is good, all the settings are correct i.e. set to 1 cyl, I even lowered the RPM setting to 1,000 and tried lighting it multiple times with no luck. My dalema is should I take a chance and just order a new GMR pickup or just bite the bullet and get a whole new kit? Has anyone run into this before?

I would give them a call. I found this on the instructions.

In case of malfunction, this MSD component will be repaired free of charge according to the terms of the warranty. When returning MSD components for service, Proof of Purchase must be supplied for warranty verification. After the warranty period has expired, repair service is charged based on a minimum and maximum charge.

Take it to a dealership, you’ll likely be assisted free of charge. I wouldn’t advise tampering with any Accelerations sensors or what not
