Have you figured out why your car is running hot yet?

Wrong auto tranny cooler.
No cowling around eng fan.

If the cowling is not done correctly around any electric fan, air won't go through the rad(S) in front of the fan. Air will be drawn in on the sides, around the circumference of the front edges of the fan....ESP when you are dealing with back pressure / partial vac on the front side.

Unfortunately, he was sold a... 'solution' for a problem that didn't exist in the 1st place... ( eng rad + HE for blower). His ONLY issue was auto tranny temps..and that's an easy fix.... ( B+M 13K BTU auto tranny cooler, 3/4" thick, installs directly below oem auto tranny rad....and plumbed in series with it. $55-$80).

There is a lot of other aftermarket stuff out there that is essentially in the same boat.... a... 'solution' for a non issue. Alternator's and COPS other than oem are pure junk, plenty of bs designed suspension components, you name it. I wasted a lot of $$ and effort with a myriad of aftermarket HID headlights and also LED headlights...they all crapped out. Even when new, when they worked, the high beams are useless. The touted TCI ratchet shifter for the 05-12 cars is more junk, works good, but has an inherent electrical design flaw. ( it sends out a glitch / transient / spike /surge to the SJB... which locks it up. Start the car, and I can't get it out of park! Then have to do a manual over ride. The steeda tensioner for the fead is another defective product. Edelbrocks version is worse. The mezziere 20 /55 'gpm' electric pumps are more junk, even with 17 volts on em. They put out 4/4.6 gpm when used with a M90 setup..with an actual load on it. They won't even put out 20 /55 gpm with no load on em..and 2" fire hose used, they are glorified bilge pumps. BBK twin 62mm TB's leave a lot to be desired. They are cheap cuz you have to re-use most of the components from your oem twin 55 mm tb. Loads of useless shorty headers on the market. Loads of piss poor constructed LT's. The list is endless. I spend all my time trying to separate wheat from chaff. Then we have..'tuner's that have no clue how to tune an eng for either Blower use, or when in NA mode..which is most of the time. Roush + Edelbrock have no clue how to tune the auto tranny on the 05-10 cars.

The OP has a 2010 automatic Roush 427R..with the M90 blower. I have a 2010 GT auto..with the same M90 blower + roush suspension etc, etc. I just don't have the Roush bling, so other than that the 2 x cars are essentially the same.

Was just reviewing this thread and almost spit up on myself when I read this in your thread. Surprised there hasn't been a Roush Zombie apocalypse occur in your front yard as an after effect from this. LOL!

Thanks for explaining all that again Pentalab…. I have now purchased the B+M cooler, since fluidyne said fan on Mishimoto is causing backpressure problems going to try that next. Also ordering 7 bar grille.
I also purchased the MMD hood vents, but they are fairly deep, not sure if they will clear the CAI tube without shaving them off, so now another issue.

I may not have been clear but the radiator fan does have it's shroud, I just lost the two plastic pieces that go on each side of the radiator, which also create some ducting. They will not fit because of the heat exchanger and it's plumbing. I'm trying to avoid pulling the Fluidyne radiator and putting the stock one back in, but that will be the next step...
going to try one thing at a time...

according to you previously, this.....

By chance do you work for fluidyne….
I also said to pull the front bumper off entirely and go for a ride. Have you even considered your thermostat is acting up or the water pump is failing since these issues existed prior to the "upgrades"?
Mishimoto sucks, and that cooler design is 100 year old technology. Changing the trans cooler to a bar and plate will help tremendously, but it will not affect engine temps since the auto trans cooler in these cars is not connected to the radiator.

You have not been reading correctly, I did not have an engine overheating problem before these upgrades. The only overheating issue I had prior to this was the transmission.

The thermostat has been changed and we have also checked the coolant flow, which appears to be flowing.

I am working on an LS7 -> S197 kit that should clean this car up nicely. Custom oil tank, headers, engine mounts, uses the stock ECU. Will be developing it through this winter, I hope, trying to find a cheap chassis so I don't have to break down my Bullitt for development.

I'm planning a 5.0L Coyote or 5.8L 4V swap in a 1967 L88 427 Corvette as soon as the funds are available. A T56 magnum XL, and Ford 9 inch will finish the fully Ford drivertrain. Would have done it by now if I had known to invest in bitcoin a few years back. LOL!

the coyote is the obvious choice, should be much cheaper than a 5.8. Truck engine.

My friend has a 1964.5 Mustang that he swapped a junkyard 5.3 into. That car is a lot of fun.
