The starter is brand new but i did not inspect the flywheel

I already did that the starter spins outside of the car . When i put it on it makes thst grinding noise

Hey guys update i checked grounds. Now starter is trying to spin the motor but u hear a grinding noise coming from the flywheel when trying to start . It doesnt even give it a full spin and cuts off . Is there a special way to put the flywheel ? Guys if this has happen to u please let me knoe...
