Wanna boost an 05 Gt Daily Driver but have some questions

^This is very good life advice. Even though we know you did not specifically ask for it.

Wanna boost an 05 Gt Daily Driver but have some questions

Power delivery is very linear, I believe you will be fine. Not to mention will love the power upgrade.

Wanna boost an 05 Gt Daily Driver but have some questions

It makes boost very early, but you still have to purposefully put your foot into it. It does not turn your throttle into on/off switch, you still can modulate the throttle just as before. Have you ever driven a car/truck with a supercharger?

Wanna boost an 05 Gt Daily Driver but have some questions

Streetable is all about controlling your right foot. Stay out of boost and it will drive just like it does now.

Wanna boost an 05 Gt Daily Driver but have some questions

Maybe to a compression test to make sure things are good. But if you keep the power at reasonable levels it should be fine. Now there is always the possibility something could break, that is just luck of the draw.

    4.6L + Edelbrock E-force

On the Falcon I will have full exhaust, no cats so I would think I should be able to hit the same numbers. Probably don't want to push it any further on the stock bottom end to keep it happy. Also wonder how long the stock 5 speed will last with sticky 315's out back.

    4.6L + Edelbrock E-force

Great numbers. What are all you other engine mods if any? I would be thrilled to achieve the same numbers on mine. Is this on Lito's tune?

    4.6L + Edelbrock E-force

In for updates. I also found a crazy deal for a full E-Force set-up with GT500 HE (all for $2000 local pick-up) that I have "installed" on my 65 Falcon. It is just sitting on the engine for now to test hood clearance and all is good. Strange to hear a report of it being loud, I hope it is...

    Supercharged 3V into a 65 Falcon Hardtop

At this point it is a full framed car with reinforcement 1.5"x3" steel tube tieing front to back subframes. Stock front subframe has been boxed with reinforcement plates. Also ladder type bar design between tunnel and rockers. Will also end up with most likely a 4 point roll bar as well. It...

    Supercharged 3V into a 65 Falcon Hardtop

Some killer deals out there now on GT500 powertrains. I have seen whole pallet, engine, trans, controls, fuel, etc for $8500 shipped. Makes me think the 93 F150 street truck we own needs some new guts. Oh if I only had the time and the money, one project at a time.

    Supercharged 3V into a 65 Falcon Hardtop

Edelbrock coolant kit arrived yesterday so maybe this weekend will get a chance to see if it all plays nice together in the limited space I have to work with. Wish me luck.

    Supercharged 3V into a 65 Falcon Hardtop

62 with potential https://classics.autotrader.com/classic-cars/1962/ford/ranchero/100870628 and what looks to be a nice 65 (except for the wheels) but man they are proud of it https://classics.autotrader.com/classic-cars/1964/ford/ranchero/100878932 and a 64...

    Supercharged 3V into a 65 Falcon Hardtop

Buy one now if you can afford to and store it away. Now that early Mustangs have gone the way of the Camaro and are so $$ the other Fords are starting to creep up in cost for decent examples. When I first bought my falcon you could get a very nicely restored driver for around $10k, now that...

    Supercharged 3V into a 65 Falcon Hardtop

I love cars and I love trucks, just not so much when you mix the two. :) Now, that being said, I have extra appreciation for any early model modded Ford that isn't a Mustang, and does not have an LSX swap.

    Supercharged 3V into a 65 Falcon Hardtop

Here are a few pics with the Edelbrock blower in its new home. Will do some custom painting of the blower and engine to get a more sanitary look. But paint is in the distant future. The top of the supercharger clears the hood scoop by a good inch, so that worked out well. Also the GT500 HE...

    Supercharged 3V into a 65 Falcon Hardtop

Broke down and just ordered the Edelbrock Upgrade cooling kit, hopefully it will all fit given I have less room in the engine bay than a normal mustang would. Also ordered a 05 trans crossmember so that I can mount it to work with the Blowfish Racing shifter support/driveshaft loop setup. I...

    Supercharged 3V into a 65 Falcon Hardtop

I have the radiator already. Fluidine for the S197. It is huge compared to a stock Falcon unit but I figured out how to make it fit. Should give plenty of cooling. The question is how to most efficiently and visually cleanly route the coolant hoses themselves.

    Supercharged 3V into a 65 Falcon Hardtop

Hah, sorry, not a Ranchero fan at all. So anyone have any thoughts on the cooling. Do I just go 07' up routing and call it a day or is there a better way?

    Supercharged 3V into a 65 Falcon Hardtop

Thanks. I am going to try and at least set the blower on top this coming weekend, as well as get some more of the interior parts set in place. Once I do I can take a few updated shots of how it is all looking.

Here are a few pictures. No pictures with the blower yet, just picked it up locally this past weekend.

    Supercharged 3V into a 65 Falcon Hardtop

I continue on my quest to swap (the easy part) and get running (the harder part) the 3V out of a 2006 mustang, now with an E-Force Supercharger, into my 1965 Ford Falcon Hardtop protouing car. I have the engine and transmission in the car, everything fits nicely with some shorty headers, I...

Forced induction or all motor build?

But you could then just do a Falcon and keep the ford in a ford (however I agree the nova is such a great looking boxy body)
