Thanks, I've read many threads on the topic but I haven't been able to find one conclusion that showed they got cruise working. I always thought it weird because like you said there is only so much that is different between them.

Have you done this with your car? You swapped over the harness, or know someone that did it?

I just cut my stock one in half, diy shorty. No issues with reception that I noticed. Save that little ball on the end and reattach it so you don't impale anyone on the sharp end you make when cutting it.

I've read the best way is to go with less days and more thorough soaking. So instead of every day for 5 minutes its better to do 3 days for 20 minutes.

I'd have to say the key is fun / miles = funmiles per day. If you have a blast doing 25 miles ripping it up that can be just as fun as 100 miles leisurely cruise.

If you are going to go that big have you considered a projector? Maybe the room is too bright for one? I've been researching them and am 99% sure my next purchase will be a projector over a tv for big screen size.

Stock gt500 hoods have heat extractors and plenty of people have driven and parked gt500s in the rain. They say their position on the hood makes it okay.
