we have the exact same alignment rack at our shop, built 3 years ago, also. it's pretty nice to use. attach the 4 leads to the tire valve stem and is equalizes air pressure on all 4 tires. ours has built in lights on the rack also so you don't need a light to see things under the car.

you don't HAVE to use knock sensors. GT500 motors don't have knock sensors. just build it conservatively so you don't have to worry about knock and don't use them.
