    Methanol injection with my setup

I've done a lot of methanol injection work, but always turbos and never a supercharger, so my advice may be useless. If you spill methanol that stuff evaporates almost as soon as it hits the ground ... unless you're spraying an astronomical amount of methanol, i have a hard time seeing a...

    S197 Dead pedal

Is this sitting higher, more in line with the actual pedals? Reading the OP i thought this was a stupid thing to be complaining about, but i think i've seen the light... this could be kind of neat.

    Seats and Oil

To be fair, you're going to be buying more brake pads anyway if you take your stock ones to the track. They cant handle the heat and you'll likely go through at least 50-75% of their life in the weekend.

    2007 V6 S197 vs a SN95 GT (02-04) for HPDE

I understand wanting a mustang, and i understand wanting cheap, but If that is your budget you need a miata. I had an 01 miata and the thing was a blast. Another way to look at it is power to weight. As slow as a miata is, it (NB at least) has a better power to weight ratio than the 4.0 v6...

    How much is too much?

In my mind, that is possible, but not as likely as the fact that the car is just under-tired. 255 all seasons on a mustang is not a recipe for success.

    How much is too much?

"Using all the track." This does not apply 100% to every single corner, but it will apply to probably 90-95% of all corners out there, but basically once you hit the apex of a corner you should start opening the wheel and feeding throttle. If you keep the wheel turned after the apex of a corner...

    How much is too much?

I'm just going to be "that guy," because it is always a possibility, but maybe you just weren't tracking out? Granted, we have very different cars, tracks, driving styles, etc... but i target 36 psi hot and the car always felt, what i consider to be, neutral. Granted, you are on all...

FRPP M-18000-C vs Koni yellows ?

The FRPP yes, and they were good not great. I however got them for $400, so if my opinion of them is "good not great" at basically half their retail cost i feel i'm allowed to make that statement. The Bilsteins are what i have my eyes on next after research and talking with others who have run...

FRPP M-18000-C vs Koni yellows ?

Well, neither of these i'd consider much of an upgrade ... Bilstein or bust.

    Differential UCA bushing

That's what i did. I went to home depot and built a PVC press like you'll see most people do, but our bushing was so mangled that it just pushed the center section out, the entire outer part of the bushing was still attached to the housing. I just happened to notice the hole saw fit and said "F-...

    Differential UCA bushing

I installed the Steeda Poly bushing in the differential of my wife's car. The steeda bushing(s) is actually 4 separate pieces if i remember, an inner and outer section that press in from each side. The outer section obviously presses into the pumpkin, and the inner section is then free to...

    Closest to the Wall Trophy

Gotta love corners that track out into a wall -_- First time I ever spun was because I kept the wheel turned too long out of fear of contacting the wall. Luckily that's all it was, besides a good story to tell!

    Texas World Speedway

Yeah, my wife and I have three "last event ever" T-shirts with the Driver's edge haha. It's an awesome track for sure... we ended up moving to Oklahoma City for my job, but I just hope someone finally gets their act together on either TWS or Bluebonnet if that's still going to be a thing.

    Upgrade sway bars?

There are multiple race teams using these products with success, probably in excess of what you are doing, and yet you are the one having failures... i think we see the common denominator here.

Vorshlag "Street Pro" = 9 seconds

This. Its the hardest thing because you get on the forums and read about all these great parts and decide you need all of them, when in actuality you dont. It wasnt until my 6th track weekend, so 12th track day, that i finally realized i was out driving the car; the car was finally holding me...

Which track car to get? Your opinions please.

I had a very rough number of $15k in mind. So the thing then is there are good cars like C5 vettes in that range, but they're old with a ton of miles. Then there are bone stock cars like the 3.7 v6, but those obviously need more of the budget put into mods than fixing stuff... I guess it's...

Which track car to get? Your opinions please.

I dont mean to sound argumentative or dismissive if that's how i'm coming across. Its just a big decision and i want to give it the thought and research it deserves. I figure there are tons of good cars out there with tons of "pros," so the best way to make the decision rather is based on the...

Which track car to get? Your opinions please.

The simple answer is yes. When we first started tracking i was working a low paying accounting job trying to keep tires on the mustang. I am back in school at the moment for a second degree in mechanical engineering, so hopefully when i graduate i will be making a decent bit every year. So like...

Which track car to get? Your opinions please.

I dont know if i should be disappointed to hear people say that because basically i'm going to have to find some more money laying around, or happy because it means i get to track a 5.0 again haha...

Which track car to get? Your opinions please.

It would, but the prices may not have come down enough to make it affordable, and for all intents and purposes its a completely different platform from hers as far as suspension, brakes, and other spares are concerned. They sell K-series honda engine kits for the NA and NB miatas. 250 whp all...

Which track car to get? Your opinions please.

God, i have thought about literally anything and everything. NC miata since they have more power than my old NB, C5 corvette, S2000, maybe and E46 m3 but probably not, maybe an evo 8... I have changed my mind a thousand times. It got to the point where i even made a spreadsheet attaching a...

Which track car to get? Your opinions please.

^^^ that was the thought process at least. 1. Yeah, my 5.0 was 3580 as it sat - full street trim as it was still a street car, and made give or take 400 at the wheels. With me and an instructor (i'm solo qualified now, but still opted for a 50/50 instructor, im not too proud to admit i could...

Which track car to get? Your opinions please.

The 3.7 and 3v are both about 100 lbs lighter than the 5.0 off the bat (due to engine size, so that wont change when the cars go on a diet), and the give or take 100 less horsepower. It wont be a matter of how quickly they wear out, but 295s were small on the 5.0, and they'd probably be about...

Which track car to get? Your opinions please.

Yeah, the v6 does require a little more RPM, but luckily the filter is in a good spot and adding an oil cooler is quite easy. The 3v has that built in water / oil cooler that's really just a pain, and makes adding an oil cooler a much more complicated process. Lord knows the v6 can take RPM...

Which track car to get? Your opinions please.

Yeah, the 3v and 3.7 both use a 12.4" rotor, the PP v6 does get a slightly more aggressive pad though, as well as a 3.31 gear stock. At the end of the day though it will probably end up on OEM Brembos for regular track use, and a 3.31 gear still isnt quite enough gear for that little car haha...
