    S197 Dead pedal

Thanks for the comments. Scott Drake unit was easy enough to modify with a thick spacer (2x4 trimmed to width and painted black). If I go any thicker I will go with aluminum pedestal spacers.

    S197 Dead pedal

I found that via google yesterday. How high does it sit, and could it be easily modified to taller? I was thinking of buying and blocking up to the height I want. Does the billet pedal bolt/screw to the side bracket? If so I could unbolt and add spacers to my desired height. Most of these...

    S197 Dead pedal

Has anybody done a proper dead pedal for S197? Was playing with left foot braking this morning and came to the conclusion that I could be a lot more consistent if I just had a good reference/resting point for my left foot. Factory "dead pedal" spot is way too low IMHO. Would like something...

36 days and counting. Bought 'em used 2-1/2 years ago so they are probably 40+

A place to compare your lap times

Lobster has been building this one for a bit. Looks like its taking root. I also like the one over at TMO: https://trackmustangsonline.com/threads/lap-time-thread.6197/

    Review: Track Spec Hood Louvers

They are located back in the low pressure area of the hood. The hood is not flat. Any further forward and they'll be into the downsloping portion that stacks up higher pressure air and they would an air entrance not an exit. Any further back, and they would be into the high pressure that stacks...

    Upgrade sway bars?

3 years + with my WL adjustable rear bar minus a few months when I was experimenting with 6 cyl bar. WL bar is back on and working perfectly. Adjustable PHB for about the same time. No complaints

    Setup Questions/Quick Intro

Should be good to go with zero toe. I actually run a little toe out, about an 1/8" on my street settings. Tramlining exists, but its pretty mild / manageable. No issues at speed, just some movement on the heaves and swells that dominate my city. Might be muted by the amount of caster (all of...

Looks good. Love their one-piece construction. In to see report of how it fares.

Watts Link for improved street manners

WL has more pivots = more bushings. Unless you are on spherical bushing, wouldn't that negate a chunk of the potential L-R positional control? Poly ended adj PHB does well enough for me. Am running 315s without any rub.

    Alignment Specs for Street/Autox

Timed it last weekend. Less than 90 seconds when the front end is up. But I did have my tools at the ready

    S197 rear shock relocation

315s also fit without touching any metal. Easy. Not even hella flush. I did trim inner liner a little.

    Alignment Specs for Street/Autox

I grab the top of the tire or the spring, but its to create movement of the top of the strut. Just loosen the 4 nuts and go. Now there was this one time, I watched an Aggie friend tug and his friend pull and fight his brand V plates with no result. I let him struggle for a bit before...

    Alignment Specs for Street/Autox

I really don't understand this comment since I adjusted 42 times last (21 times roundtrip) with MM plates (S197). 1) Jack the frontend up so that both front tires are off the ground. 2) Loosen up the 4 strut tower nuts (13mm socket). 3) Slide strut for camber adjustment. 4) Tighten up the 4...

Vorshlag "Street Pro" = 9 seconds

+1 for this. The Recaros a nice compromise for daily ease of ingress/egress and comfort, with fair bolstering. Works well with 6pt.

Vorshlag "Street Pro" = 9 seconds

Ran the Schroth 4pt ASMs for a while, but no matter how tight you get the lap belt, the shoulder belts would tend to pull it up. Scary. I added the sub belts to upgrade to 6pt. Now I can crank the shoulder straps to my heart's content.

Vorshlag "Street Pro" = 9 seconds

Not like a proper seat and harnesses, but a g-loc clip helps and can sit on a swath of the mesh tool box drawer liner helps reduce your butt movement.
