WTB - CDC Aggressive Chin Spoiler (Splitter Optional)

Thanks for the replies. It seems I may have a couple of options. As for the splitting up of the CDC Classic and splitter, I'd prefer to do my own splitter, so that may work. I'll send an email to Anthony to see what he has, and we'll see if we can get some parts changing hands in the near future.

WTB - CDC Aggressive Chin Spoiler (Splitter Optional)

Looking to purchase. Figured I'd see if anyone had one available. Color is not important, but the right color will increase my price.

    C&l intake

Do you still need the intake? I'm dropping a Kenne Bell on my 3V, and I won't be needing my C&L. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk

AC Only Cold on Passenger Side

If your car is equipped with dual climate zones, the drivers side will blow cold and the passenger side warm with low freon. Happend in my 06 Explorer. AC also shuts the compressor of briefly with a misfire code. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk

jake_zx2 PURSUIT OF A 8 MINUTE NURBURGRING LAP

This is wonderful. You really wheeled that thing. As an S197 owner, I want to know how the S550 compares in stock trim to your slightly modified S197. I'll be tuned in for additional updates. Don't be a stranger.

Don't think that nobody is paying attention. I'm in a similar boat, as I'm in my first full year of autoX. Best of luck with the rest of your season.

BMR K-Member and A-Arms on Road Courses?

Kelly's response is exactly what I'm talking about. Let's see if a UPR rep chimes in to defend their position.

BMR K-Member and A-Arms on Road Courses?

My thoughts on UPR... They are a copycat company that may make the world's greatest K-member (or any other product)... but I'll never know because I won't buy their stuff. I prefer to stick with companies that develop, test, support, and ultimately improve their product. Some drag racers...

BMR K-Member and A-Arms on Road Courses?

Norm, First, I'm an engineer in the overhead crane business, so mild steel and welding is what we do. Your yield strength is in the correct ball park for DOM tubing, and you are correct the steel used has a low carbon content (but I'm sure you knew that). The heat affected zones to which...

BMR K-Member and A-Arms on Road Courses?

I looked into the BMR A-arms and K-member for my car at one time, and here is what I concluded: K-Member is not as stiff as the stock or Maximum Motorsports model. My final opinion is the lower weight will likely be a wash from a handling perspective (the lower inertial forces and rearward...

BBB Winter Build - KISS or...

I've just been enjoying the ride for the spring. No mods. Just legally going as fast as I can. This run landed me P2 in the Triad Sports Car Club 50th Anniversary AutoX at Winston Salem Fairgrounds. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DEaSdukCkGU And just for the fun of it, I moved over to...

BBB Winter Build - KISS or...

AutoX at Greensboro Coliseum this past weekend. I managed to bring home the hardware, but only by 0.063 seconds. In the 79 car field, we had 10 entries in CAM (5 were Mustangs). Our club is going to change CAM to a PAX class to keep the CAM-S cars from walking away with the class if any of...

Going From Straight Line to AX.

Great to see you're climbing the ladder quickly. Taking an analytical approach, as you are doing, will speed up the learning curve significantly. I'm on my 6th autocross, and the main thing I have to learn is patience. Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk

My 3.55:1 gears were installed at Fastlane Motorsports. After digging in, they recommended I install an adjustable upper link to correct pinion angle tolerances. If the pinion angle is in tolerance and the wheels are centered in the wheel well, then I'll live with the bump stop issue. Contact...

    Sky Render's Build Thread

I believe one of my favorite auto geeks over at Engineering Explained did a YouTube video on the STB. It does a good job of explaining the benefits. IIR, it's the same reasoning the coupe is stiffer than the convertible. Any open top surface is an invitation for chassis flex which leads to...

I managed to get out and have some fun with SVT Superfest at VIR-Full. Trip to VIR confirmed some stickier rubber was a huge help. Took 5.5 seconds off my PB. Managed to have my ABS go south on my during the session, and I took a trip through the grass going into turn 1. You can hear the...

    Top Speed at Various Tracks?

I haven't weighed the car as a before and after the engine build. I estimate my BBB added 30 pounds to the front end. To counteract the additional weight, I used Prothane mounts trimmed 1/2" to lower the CG of the motor. The net handling effects (and what I feel the cause is) are as follows...

    Top Speed at Various Tracks?

I did the rear gear change to 3.55s this winter. New rotors and Carbotech pads (XP12) all around. Should be able to go fast and stop... right? Wrong. At 138.8mph at the end of the front strait at VIR, I get on the brakes for turn 1. The ABS has taken a dump on me (I didn't know it), and I...
