    Help picking LCA brackets

After installing my lowering springs I now need to get the geometry back for the LCAs. I am down to the following three considerations. 1. BMR - $129 and they offer three mounting points (instead of two) and three height choices for LCA attachment. 2. Maximum Motorsport - $199 and they only...

    Rear lowering springs install question

I'm finally going to get rid of a bit of the 4X4 look, but just a bit. I have some Roush rear springs coming soon for only about a one inch drop (just want the car a bit closer to level). MY question is this, once installed and at it's new height, should I loosen the LCA bolts, UCA bolts etc...

    New style jack stand

https://safejacks.com/collections/compact-jack-stands/products/the-rennstand-by-safe-jack Just came across these. Kind of pricey for a stand, but kind of clever too. If you jack the car up at the pinch weld, you get to support it there too. I see if you order two they give you a little price...

Just a reminder for those with a spare tire

When is the last time you checked the air pressure in your spare? I just lifted the carpet in my car and could push in a long way on the sidewall of mine. If I needed it, it would be worthless. It's one of those things nobody thinks about until you need it.

For those with 05-09 that have changed clutch line

I'm considering changing the clutch fluid line and with the A/C lines right in front of the clutch master cylinder, how do you get to the fitting? I already know the one near the transmission is a bitch, but the the one at the firewall I don't see how I can get to it. The FRPP instructions only...

    NA mods and FI?

So I am considering FI (like everyone eventually does) and I have already done the typical NA stuff. Will my FRPP Hot Rod cams and the LT headers with O/R H work with FI? I am considering a Roush Phase 1 TVS 2.3 system. I know the UD pulley setup has to go, but what about the cams and headers. I...

A big thanks to Continental Tire

A year ago I bought some Continental Extreme Contact DW tires since this is a warm weather fun car (doesn't see snow or rain). I didn't drive it much last year and every time I washed it and dressed the tires, they ended up looking like shit. Blotchy and dull on probably 50% no matter how much...

    Odd ball spring question

This doesn't really matter much, but does anyone know why coil over kits have small front springs (that look mostly like rear) and a traditional front strut has way larger diameter windings?

    Clockspring question

I really like the later GT500 steering wheels and I have read the how to posts with the wiring redos. My question is this, can you just buy a 2010 clockspring and then use the plug that comes with the new wheel without cutting and reusing the old plug. I am guessing no, but not sure why not.

Everyone ring in on what I should buy

Ok, here's the deal, any car I have is going to be a garage queen. I am one of those guys that have a company car for work and so any car I own just doesn't get driven. Right now I have my 2006 GT and it is nearly perfect and has all of 7,800 miles on it. It sits on a battery tender in a heated...

Deal of the day for 05-14 owners

I saw this and spent the whopping $10 for it. I probably will never feel the difference, but the stamped brace is a joke and for $10, I can't see why not. http://www.ebay.com/itm/2005-2014-Mustang-Panhard-Rod-Brace-Blue-/291620430332?hash=item43e5eea1fc:g:tjUAAOSwZVhWTlGT&vxp=mtr and that...

    Opinions on motor mounts please

I'm considering installing aftermarket motor mounts, just wondered from real experiences what everyone that has put them in think. The considered are: Steeda, BMR, Prothane bullets, and any other suggestions. Looking for some middle ground, want some compliance, but realize firmer means more NVH.

    Painted 3V valve covers

These are from a very low mile car (you can tell by the lack of buildup inside). they were masked off and glass beaded. All mounting bolts were removed as were the VCT solenoid seals. The paint and primer used was VHT high heat engine enamel. Not perfect, but pretty close, and not much of a...

Stock shocks 06 GT 3k miles on them

I bought the car with 2,900 miles and changed these right away with Konis. They are like new, if you have some blown out high milers these would be an improvement. Tasca shows a different shock for a 18 inch wheel GT coupe (which mine is). $50 for the pair shipped.

    MBRP Stainless Mufflers 2005-2010 GT

I bought these and it turns out I'm basically an obnoxious old man. They were installed for literally 3 miles. You can see in two of the pics there isn't even exhaust soot inside yet. I came back and put my other mufflers back on. These are for all intent and purpose brand new. They are in the...

    Shock and strut question

I'm here at corner carver and not drag racing, that in mind what is everyone's take on a Bilstein B12 Pro Kit that comes with springs. I don't mind firm, but I don't want harsh. I have owned good handling cars in the past, a couple Porsches, Corvettes, and an AMG Mercedes. I have been on the...

    What next DS or suspension?

Ok, I have my cams in and tuned by Lito. I will say I never thought this 3V would respond to changes the way it did. For NA it runs well now. Onto spending more $ and trying to justify it to the wife. One piece aluminum drive shaft or the conversion from 4WD to a proper height? If I do the...

    Say a prayer for Lito

He is a great guy and is working with me right now on my tune, everyone on here knows of his talent. We take so much for granted being here in the states. I heard a news report today saying Venezuela is in bad shape and the government is struggling at best, they are shutting off power for at...

    New cam break in?

I got my cams put in last night and everything is 100%. Since these cams push down on rollers, is there any break in? Just don't know if you should keep it under 4k rpm for the first 200 miles (or something like that) or just drive it like you stole it. I'm guessing there isn't any break in, but...

    Paranoid old man cam question

So I opened my FRPP Hot Rods and they were factory wrapped and double boxed. Both boxes were perfect with zero damage. I am wiping the anti rust stuff off of them with brake clean and a microfiber cloth and am really impressed by the quality of the machine work (I know it's all CNC). But on a...

WTB two 18 x 8.5 polished OEM Bullit style wheels

I am looking for two perfect condition Bullit style polished wheels. I have two that the previous owner barely curbed, but scared up a bit.

Question about other parts when cams are installed

So I am close to getting some cams, while I have the valve covers off should I put in the newer style VCT solenoids since mine is a 2006? Should I spend the money on FRPP rockers and lash adjuster kit? Ford says the parts are just standard issue what came from the factory, but on American Muscle...

Which Detroit Rocker cam to use?

I have come to grips that I am not going to spend $5k on a supercharger kit for a ten year old car, regardless of mileage. That said, I will spend some money to get rid of it completely nosing over after 4,500 rpm, so cams it is. I am strongly considering Brenspeed Detroit Rockers and was...

TB and intake worth it or not?

I'm going to put cams in and already have CAI and LTH with OR H. Is it worth it to spend the $ on a FRPP intake and throttle body? $1k+ is a fair amount of money, just not sure it's worth it.
