engine acting strange, to lean because of fuel pump problem??

Nope, very sorry but no updates so far. Called the garage Tuesday to see if there was any news but the only answer I got was that, after the 2 weeks it has been there, they don't know yet whats wrong with it. Their "Master Technician" (they actually called him that) had been working on it...

engine acting strange, to lean because of fuel pump problem??

So is this then the butterfly valve in the throttle body? Assume not since you talk about the intake manifold. Never knew there were some kind of valves in the intake manifold. I should look into my OEM one. Then this must be inside the Edelbrock supercharger housing, right?

What is that? Never heard of it before!

engine acting strange, to lean because of fuel pump problem??

Depends on what u call cleaning. I go over it with a cloth occasionaly to keep it a bit clean but I don't use any products to clean it all up. No waterhose or high pressure if that is what you are refering to. Most parts you see aren't that old so it still all looks good. But those 3 weeks...

engine acting strange, to lean because of fuel pump problem??

Small update. Got the injectors back and 2 of them weren't good they said. They cleaned them ultrasonic and they were ok after that. Just installed them and it makes no difference at all. But it seems to be going worse as I now start to hear some strange sounds in the air intake. It sometimes...

engine acting strange, to lean because of fuel pump problem??

Although the AFR Gauge says that the engine is running lean the exhaust smells like fuel. This gives me mixed feelings about really running lean. So would it be possible that an injector isn't working good (stays open) and that the engine gets to much fuel instead of to few? The Lambdasensor...

engine acting strange, to lean because of fuel pump problem??

Tell me about it. Its my 4th alt in 2 years. First one PA 150amp performance died. Replaced by a 200amp PA of which the shaft broke off resulting in a damaged timing cover. The new PA perf gave up after 1 year so now the shop advised me the powermaster one. I don't have a lot of power...

engine acting strange, to lean because of fuel pump problem??

The alternator is brand new. Is installed about a month ago. Its a 200amp powermaster. I always keep an eye on the voltagemeter on my SCT and its mostly somewhere between 13.5 and 14.2V

engine acting strange, to lean because of fuel pump problem??

Reloaded the tune but that didn't help. No fuel in the vacuum line attached to the top of the fuel sensor. Fuel filter replacement changed nothing. Checked al the vacuumhoses from the valvecovers to the oil seperators and back to the intake. Found no leaks. When it comes to vacuum the...

engine acting strange, to lean because of fuel pump problem??

Do you mean this on the fuel lines or in the air intake?

engine acting strange, to lean because of fuel pump problem??

Charging the battery didn't solve it :( Although I think it sounds slightly better. We cleaned out the injectors and sprayed them with some brake cleaner. Same for the fuel rail. The coils are working and the sparks are clean and good. Will try and replace the fuel filter tomorrow...

engine acting strange, to lean because of fuel pump problem??

Its charging right now. So I really hope that really was the problem. I thought that when the booster would be connected it would have had enough juice to overcome the problem. But maybe it doesn't work that way :(

engine acting strange, to lean because of fuel pump problem??

My mustang was running perfect but my gas tank was almost empty before we went on holiday. Came back home, tried to start but it did nothing because of the drained battery. Normally it is hooked up to a charger but didn't want to leave it unattended for 3 weeks. So hooked it up to a booster and...

    looking for reliable alternator brand

I do have the codes but NONE of the symptoms described. Except the check engine light. The engine runs smooth and drives like it should. It is a known code that can be caused by the alternator. Some alt seem to create a field that can interupt the camsensor. Having the alt relocated (due...

    Code P0345 & P0349 alt issue

2005 GT I got a "check charging system" warning on the dash so the alt needed to be replaced. When I measured during the warning I only got 12V so it was not charging. After a couple of minutes it seemed to engage and start to charge but I didn't trusted it. The codes were there also with...

    Code P0345 & P0349 alt issue

I just installed a brand new Powermaster alternator and it gives me the known P0345 & P0349 code. The shop swapped the sensors and code stays the same so its not the sensor. I can clear the code and it doesn't come back as long as I don't shut off the engine and restart. The engine sounds...

    looking for reliable alternator brand

Well, the powermaster alt is in and the "check charging" warning is gone. But this one also gives me the known P0345 & P0349 DTC's :( The Previous PA performance did the same thing. Sensor seems to be good since they swapped left and right to give them a try but the code stayed. I can...

    looking for reliable alternator brand

They now advised me to go for a "powermaster" Alternator instead of the PA roush one. They are supposed to be reliable and strong. Anybody some experience with these ones?

    looking for reliable alternator brand

Tnx Terry, Our setup is almost the same with the better cooling fan of the fluidyne radiator. Only difference is I have the afco and you the Saleen. But I think the fans are pretty much the same. Reason for asking was I really don't know if I need a 200amp Alt. I wanted to have enough juice...
