    Stainless Steel Headers Temp

well they are $650.00 for a 13'. I don't have any idea how they fit. https://www.bbkperformance.com/mustang-gt-1-7-8-in-long-tube-headers-ceramic-11-17.html

    Stainless Steel Headers Temp

I have BBK long tube, coated headers. They greatly reduced under hood temps. Before I had them when you stood next to the front wheel you could feel the heat just pouring out from under the car. Once I put them on, that stopped. They are 1 5/8 ceramic coated. $599.00

    Help on harmonic balancer

Does it make a difference if it's a centri or a PD blower? Obviously a blower cam is ideal, but sometimes you have to run what you have for the time being. I plan to run my Detroit Rocker NA cams (cause that's what's installed on the engine right now) with a whipple 2.3, low boost, but that's...

    Help on harmonic balancer

As a side note, Hellcats come from the factory with a damper that is not keyed. Isn't that crazy? Everyone who runs those cars hard pins the crank, which is pretty easy to do and we did that on ours. I just thought I'd mention it because in comparison the 4.6 being keyed is pretty nice. I was...

    centrifugal s/c questions

I think he means that's a tall tire. With a centri you probably want to keep the rear gear effective ratio down. To do that you can run a lower gear or run a shorter tire, and the easiest thing to do is run a shorter tire, like a 28". Running a taller tire is like running a higher gear rear end...

    centrifugal s/c questions

How did you decide on the P1X rather than the D1X? Just wondering cause I've been looking at the D-1sc or D1X but I have a 4.6.

    centrifugal s/c questions

Langa, dang, sorry to hear that. I have the Detroit Rocker cams, but just NA. I am not bashing remote tunes; it's what I would do and have done with my other car, especially if you don't have a local tuner you are comfortable with. Those cams do make an old school rumble in my car with the BBK...

    centrifugal s/c questions

Yes, that's why I am asking, MC. I have a brenspeed tune, and it's always worked great and they have been excellent to deal with. I think that if someone isn't chasing every tenth and they just want a system that comes with a solid tune, and they aren't going to install an AFR gauge and get...

Log Books and Tire pressure gauges

Do you have relocation brackets on your car? https://www.bmrsuspension.com/?page=products&productid=170 I would say these are a must have. Other companies make them too. Maybe you just didn't list it with your other suspension stuff?? If you are sticking with NA, you need a converter. My...

Log Books and Tire pressure gauges

I just make sure to always use the same tire pressure gauge. I have a race one that only goes up to 30PSI so you can see the smaller increments better. I just write everything on each slip that I get after my run. I include the following on the slip: -tire psi in the staging lanes -burnout time...

    centrifugal s/c questions

Did you have problems with a Brenspeed tune? Or a power increase when you switched to a remote tune? I am interested in hearing apples to apples before and after ET's comparing a Brenspeed "canned" email tune and a Lito tune or other remote tune by a well-known tuner. People probably make other...

    Dyno and 1/4 mile opinions.

I would do lowering brackets and single adjustables. Also, have someone video your car on launch and when you are going down the track. You don't want the body of your car coming down when you launch. You need to be able to stiffen the rear shocks up. Slicks, single adjustables, and lowering...

    What torque converter?

When factoring in DA and you running a 93 tune and I run a 91 tune, we run pretty similar times (my mph is 84.6 in 5000 DA). From what I have read the stock converter is a weak link and the input shaft. I have the TCI 3000 and hardened input shaft. It worked fine, before my trans started...

Input on shock/strut setting on street.

I think MT suggests that for those tires you do a big burnout for your first pass of the day, and then you just "haze" them after that. In other words, until they just start to smoke and then drive out of your burnout. Your sig says "built and boosted". What exactly is your setup?

Input on shock/strut setting on street.

Hey also, if you are running your car hard, especially with a stick, I would look into getting a CHE rear axle brace. I have one and they are pretty trick. No need to weld up the tubes and all that. I have the BMR lowering brackets and the bmr sway bar, and install with the brace was pretty...

Input on shock/strut setting on street.

You can't set compression and rebound separately on that shock. I run them. I would start a click or two above the middle setting for the rear shocks. I've run strange single adjustables and I set them to 6. I think 11 is the stiffest setting. I am sure your car has more power than my car does...

    BBK Catted X clip

I have an 07 with BBK long tube headers and the same x-pipe you have, plus detroit rocker cams, and my car is pretty nasty sounding. At idle it sounds like an old school muscle car. It's very loud driving around but not bad at all inside the car. Cruising on the interstate at 2500-2800 rpms...

Tires - ET, DR, Slicks, etc..

Mickey Thompson site says 14-18 psi for the drag radial ss. Drag radial ss takes more air than a slick. My car only has 425 fwhp so that makes a big difference, but I ran the 275 MT radial SS on 15x10 wheel and 22 psi at the track. That 9.5 width means + or- 1 inch either way, typically. If...

First time at track with twin turbos

For the rear shocks it's all about Newton's law that for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction. If the body of the car is coming down, then the tires are coming up. If the body of the car remains neutral or even comes up slightly, that means the tires are being pressed into the...

First time at track with twin turbos

Your shock settings seem backwards to me. Front should be on the soft side and rear should be in the middle or on the firm side depending how the car reacts when you launch it. The rear/body of the car should not come down off the line. For drag radials, 20 psi is okay. They aren't like slicks...
