    Help me choose suspension/ rear tires

    Don't replace those parts and still use the high mileage struts and mounts.

    Help me choose suspension/ rear tires

    If you are primarily concerned with straight line performance, I would keep the stock sways and get an 11-14 style rear upper control arm mount and rear lower arms from MM, BMR, or Whiteline. That will very much take care of the insane wheel hop those cars are prone to.

    The New Ranger is here!

    Sure they do, especially to fleet operations. Hence the Ranger XL which starts at $24,300. Still has some nonsense included like Sync and a 4G wi-fi hotspot. Has cloth seats and steel wheels though.

    Airbag recall

    Offered me the same thing. Also offered a free loaner car if I brought it in.

    Traction control kicking in?

    A C-code will not illuminate the MIL (CEL). Scan it with a tool capable of reading these codes. An IDS, as mentioned, would be good.

    05 Convertible BASE -> Coyote 5.0L

    Any 05-14 GT or 07-14 GT500 will work. You don't need a 9" unless you are planning on building a serious drag car.

    05 Convertible BASE -> Coyote 5.0L

    Well an 04 Cobra IRS won't fit your car, and with $35K to spend, personally I would start with at least an 11 GT. Put a gen 3 engine in it, 13-14 IC, etc., etc., and you will still have your keep it interesting factor working. And damn 50+ years? You gonna live forever or what?

    160,000 miles and still going... 2014 GT

    At 160K I'd be suspect of every single suspension part on the car. Leading edge of the hood corrosion is common on the 05-12 cars, but on the 13/14 cars it's set back and has a rubber seal. The leading edge is the bumper cover. Got a 14 GT too. No hood rot.

    I think he means the evaporator and that would likely only wet the right side.

    Wife Ok'd a different track car

    My apologies, but it certainly sounded like your wife wields unilateral power in your original post. Guess not. A 13-14 GT 500 would make a worthy successor.

    Wow....I could never let myself be controlled like that.

    New to Mustangs

    That is a terrible car, even when it was brand new. A Mustang in name only. And 118k is not low miles.

    Looking for input on a future purchase

    There's nothing wrong with the MT82. I've been daily driving a 14 GT with the manual for over four years now. That includes occasional autox events. It's the best GT I've ever owned, hence the reason I still own it. It has none of the problems of my old 08 GT, which had every issue except the RF...

    Black glue behind door panel?

    It usually just comes off with the plastic as you remove it from the door. Any remnants left on the door are easily removed. WD40 would work fine. Don't see any need for a heat gun. It's a very light duty adhesive.
