There is no S197 Performance Package. That's an S550 thing. There was, however, a Track Pack available on the 2010 GT and the 2013/14 GT. They may have told you that because Ford often sells the bar along with the bushings and links as an assembly, such as this one...

Never heard of this method either, but after doing a quick search, it is indeed a legit method. It appears the soapy water momentarily seals the leak thus allowing the idle to return to its normal RPM. I have always used flammable aerosols for this.

I just remove the rack mounting bolts only. Gives enough movement to the rack to get to that front bolt. Two on a 3V and three on a Coyote car. Sounds like you went with removing the tie rods?

Why not just reattach it to the connector and then to the car?

No travel? You have too much travel. You likely need new struts, strut mounts, shocks, and bump stops. Whatever springs you have now should be fine. The sway bar bushings have nothing to do with this issue.

Yes it is, but I bet the 60th anniversary edition will be a 25. The 50th anniversary edition was a 2015, not a 2014. Ford revised their math sometime after 2009, as the 2009 had 45th anniversary badges, the 2004 had 40th badges, and the 99 had 35th badges along with a special 35th anniversary...
