    mustang6g LOVES MMR apparently

Poor quality parts and unwillingness to stand behind them, from what I remember. This was back when the S197 was brand new. We're like elephants here; we never forget (and probably don't forgive, either).

    GT350......DEAD!!

It would be cool if they did one special edition every few years. Started with the GT500, then the Bullitt, then the GT350, now the Mach 1 and GT500. We need BOSS to make a comeback with the new 7.3L. :)

    S197 door panels

I didn't remove the armrest or anything. I think to do it right and avoid a big mess, I have to basically disassemble the inside of the door. One of these days...maybe.

    S197 door panels

So other than wanting to change up the look, is it necessary to order a new insert? Like you said, I re-glued the originals, only to have it last about a year.

So I think I’m gonna sell my car

This has been at the back of my mind for a while, too. I still drive it a lot, but it needs a better tune (I think). I ordered some stuff so I can datalog and I'm going to see if Lito can get it running good. If so, I think it'll give me incentive to keep it and get more enjoyment out of it, and...

    Bronco Teaser Video

There's a pic floating around of a yellow Bronco's engine bay. It has the 2.3L and it looks super cramped. I can't see any way of getting the Coyote in there, and I don't think it's necessary. With a simple tune, that 2.7L will blow the Coyote away. I also don't think reliability is a reason for...

    Daytime running lights disable

Well hell, I went to a dealer a while back and they vacillated on it. "We could, maybe, possibly, but we don't know, and we'll charge you $150 just to hook up our tool..." I left without having it done. I'll have to check out this Forscan thing. Thanks, TJM.

    Bronco Teaser Video

We've been waiting way too long for this! Does Ford just not know how to make a new vehicle, or have there been so many delays so they can get it right? Sad thing is, it's about equal odds of either. Anyway, if this thing has the goods, it'll likely be a replacement for my 2006 F-150 SCREW a...

    TREMEC T56 Magnum S197 Transmission

That's a good idea. I was thinking of buying one, boring it, and then re-tapping with the proper tap, but that seems a cheaper, faster alternative.

What are you guys doing for shift boot retainers? I cannot find any retainers in the size M12x1.75 which is what the shifter is. I'm about to buy some crappy Chinese piece that uses a set screw, but I don't want to...

    MACH 1 is back!!!

Given what they've done with the Coyote as far as revving and power, I'd rather have it than the Voodoo.

    HP Comfort levels

I think it all depends on the gearing to have fun on the street. The T-56 Magnum XL has pretty tall gearing, so I can only really use up to 2nd gear before I get into trouble with speed, but with the stock gearing, I'd just be blowing the tires off all the time. Honestly, a small car with...

What will the corona virus do to the car market? (used/car parts)

Gas prices that low mean the economy is essentially dysfunctional. It means domestic producers can't many money drilling, so they stop, and we end up buying Iranian and Saudi oil instead of American oil. It means commerce is not happening, and the prices of other things gets cheaper, and if we...

What will the corona virus do to the car market? (used/car parts)

Low oil prices are not good for domestic producers, but I suspect the lack of demand to be fairly short-term. My question is what will the lag time be between everyone back to work and new car production? I could see a scenario for a couple months where a lot of purchases are made once things...

I have read all of the "rear suspension squeak" threads

Thank you. Yes, they're the Saleen Heritage wheels. Good luck with the squeak; I know how annoying that can be.

I have read all of the "rear suspension squeak" threads

Do those LCAs have poly bushings on the body side? That's what was causing an infernal squeak on mine no matter how much they were greased. Opted for some Edelbrock adjustable LCAs and has been quiet ever since. Never mind...saw where you swapped LCAs.

When do you get your car back out?

My condolences! I endured 2 winters in Fort Drum and if I had to live up there year-round, I'd ditch everything and drive a beater truck. I picked up a clean 06 F-150 for the winters up there and most of the body panels have developed rust. Should've bought something crappier, but it's...

    Home security camera systems

I'm really liking the Eufy kit. I have the 2-camera setup, but only have installed one so far. Their claim of a 1-year battery life might be legit. It's been mounted for about 3 months and the app shows that the battery is still full. It's wireless, so no messing with wires. It has a home base...
