I picked up a 2013 GT500 in February and it had this exact same problem. Ford Told me parts are on back order til end of may and to just keep driving it. They say as long as its the factory gears they'll warranty it.

PS3 This game is amazing, and it gets so much better when you get to the Trevor character. Opens up all kinds of new stuff along with badass weaponry. FYI when you're doing heists, spend the extra percentage for the better people, it pays off big time!
