    I like the helmholtz resonator implementation. That's clever. Why only for GTs though? You can stick a set of GT500 mufflers on a 5.0, so why not the other way?

    Meh, I'd go turbos for max effort. I say that having a 4.0 Whipple on a built GT500. Also have a friend with a 4.5 on a built 5.8. I'd go turbos.

    It's not as much a "lock-out" as it is a "this-is-slightly-harder-to-push-through". In short, I've just pushed through in the couple of tr6060 swaps I've done, as well as on the T56 Magnum I have now.

    I think this might be the most impressive max effort build out of a 3V that I have seen; '06 3V, '14 interior, built 10.5:1 4V, twin 67s, 9" rear, 1500rwhp, and still a manual trapping 190+ in the half mile.

    I keep trying to get my wife to drive my GT500, but she insists she's still not comfortable with 1k rwhp. She hardly even wants to touch my ZR1, and it's not because she's not a good driver -- I think she's faster around VIR in her ZR-1 than I would be in that car.

    I have a 1k+ rwhp, big Whipple GT500. A good friend has an 850rwhp, twin turbo, auto S550. Both cars are deep 9 second cars, but they go about it completely differently. It depends on what you want to do with the car. They both have their strong sides.
