    Pipes

I can't imagine open headers sounding good on an OHC engine like ours, unless it's a turbo setup. I would stick with an H pipe if it were me. But OP mentioned FR500s axle backs, so see how you like those first. Change one thing at a time so you know what to reverse if something doesn't work out.

    Upgrade sway bars?

I would skip the SR shocks and pony up for Koni or Bilstein. edit: Never mind, I thought OP was asking what parts to buy.

    p1633 & pcm pin reading

What are you getting for battery voltage? The system needs 13.8v+ with the engine running for things to work right.

    Hurst

Mine was on for 35k miles and there haven't been any issues. It felt very notchy at first but I've gotten used to it.

    Pipes

My O/R x-pipe set up with Magnaflow Competition (Magnapack) axlebacks and longtube headers is getting there. Having FRPP hot rod cams helps too. It's deep enough to boom/echo inside parking garages. When it's idling in the garage I can feel vibrations through the floor, etc. WOT brings out the...

First time out with the 3v swap

Yeah it would definitely be worth cutting more off the swaybar tabs to get the drag tires to fit. Even with a road course oriented suspension I bet you can get that car in the mid-12s once you get some traction.

    Diablosport u7140, CHE adjustable UCA

Bumping one last time. I see why there is no love for the Diablo but the UCA is good and has a lot of life left. You can use these with the stock mount if you get the UMI stepped spacers for $7.

    Better wire loom alternatives

If the opening in the hose is big enough for the scissors I'm sure you can cut slits easily. I used the exact type of hose you posted to replace some vacuum lines and a steak knife cut through it like butter. But I was cutting to shorten the ends, not to open a slit.

    Better wire loom alternatives

The wires don't need additional insulation. The loom is just there to keep the wires in one bunch. Extension cord tubing sounds like a perfect idea for something like this. I would think silicone hose will also work and those come in many sizes.

Thoughts on MMR headrest camera mount?

The disclaimer says not to use it with a passenger on board. I would think your camera/phone could become a projectile if something fails in the event of a crash. But driving events require helmets anyway so I can't see it being a huge risk of head injuries. An impact hard enough to startle a...

    Roush M90 Supercharger upgrade

Nope, definitely not the only one. The full frame RWD V8 cars are probably gone forever. But Marauders and Panthers in general are on the list of cars I would own. A 2v turbo Grand Marquis would surprise some people.

    Sponsorship

^Sounds like someone is bitter. When you have a Youtube channel with 300k+ followers, you generate ad revenue and form connections with vendors to get said free stuff. Which isn't actually free if you consider the time that goes into making videos and form a fan following. Sky Render summed it...

Found a black Friday deal on Lunati 3v cams

Lol no, I was genuinely curious. I know you've had different blower setups and wondered if you were building the motor for another type of boosted setup.

    Sway feeling when cruising

AM.com has SR shocks & struts for $260 if you want to match brands with your springs. And for $300 you can get a set of KYBs which are also good OEM replacements. I would avoid Koni STR.Ts solely because they did not last very long for me. They began leaking after 35k miles of use and had...

GT500 fuel system take out 05-09

Why would the 2010 hat not work? Isn't it just a matter of swapping in the 2006 level sensor and dropping the hat in the tank?

no crank no start battery good

A new alternator can also be defective. Most alternators that are sold in stores are rebuilt units so there's no guarantee it will last as long as the factory unit. Have you had the alternating current tested? If it is above .25 VAC you may have a bad diode in the alternator. A shorted diode...

Found a black Friday deal on Lunati 3v cams

The masses are usually turned off by spring & phaser required cams. Glad they worked out for you though. Do you have the phasers locked/limited?

    Fluid change in tr3650

Don't forget to undo the fill plug first, so you are not left stranded with a dry trans on the off chance the fill plug is seized. I usually hear air releasing when I loosen the fill plug so it probably drains better too with the fill plug off.

Clunking/banging during first startup of day

It is good to use the lowest viscosity oil that still maintains hot idle oil pressure. I may be completely off base but the mixture is rich at start up and maintains stoich once it goes to closed loop. I do agree that it sounds like exhaust backfire (which could be caused by misfires in the...

Clunking/banging during first startup of day

I do realize oil takes a few seconds to reach the valvetrain and pressure is supposed to rise with RPM. I was just pointing out the relationship between temp and pressure. I have not done this personally but I know you can log phaser activity and compare the commanded cam retard/advance versus...

no crank no start battery good

IIRC you need at least 13 volts to start the car. .22v may not seem like much difference but it's enough to cause a problem. Have you attempted a jump start yet?
