    FWIW usually the alt and battery have to be replaced at the same time. I've used a parts store rebuilt alt without issue. It has a lifetime warranty and worked great. Ford doesn't have a good track record with these alternators and I wouldn't put up the money for one from a Ford dealership...

    FYI they come with anti-seize on them. More probably won't hurt but it will reduce the required torque. Sounds like it all worked out.

    You can (or your shop) look up proper torque specs based on thread pitch and fastener size. Just put the fastener specs into google along with sae torque and you will find many links to SAE torque specs for lubed and unlubed fasteners.
