    PCV valve?

I have a TVS setup on my car and breathers installed along with a oil cap breather. On the passenger side the check valve is still installed. After reading through this thread I still don't understand. I've asked vendors like JPC about this in the past and they said no need to remove the one...

    P0302 CEL

Ken@VMP got back to me today. Per their tech, this sounds pretty normal to them. I'll be changing plugs more often moving forward and will probably switch over to NGK on the next change. The oil on the plug threads is caused by blowby (they recommended a catch can, though I already have...

    P0302 CEL

I'll call VMP next week. There is no catch can installed. I am running breathers on the valve covers and an oil cap breather. There is also no excess output on those breathers either. The driver side generally stays dry and the passenger side tends to see some oil seep through the filter media...

    P0302 CEL

Car recently developed a miss and eventually threw this CEL. Info on the car: Replacing the coil pack on cylinder 2 did not resolve the issue. I pulled the plug. The plug was fouled with significant carbon buildup. There was oil on the spark plug threads but no oil visible on the tip or...

What have you done to your mustang today?

Drove the car last weekend and took it WOT in 2nd gear from a roll a couple times. First time wanted to go sideways, second time was better. Pavement was pretty warm, starting to think these M&H are showing some age since they've been driven on the street a lot and sat over the winter in the...

    Anyone like small wheels?

Currently I run the stock 18s with an M&H 275 drag radial. I have a set of 17" welds sitting in the garage just haven't got them back on the car yet. Been in storage so need a good polish. Also not a big fan of the 19"+ look. It's popular though.

PD supercharger on higher mileage 5.0

I pulled the bosch pump out of my system and replaced it with a GT500 pump. I also removed the fans, which should hurt at idle and help while the car is moving. The change was negligible, about 2-3 degree improvement at cruise speeds with worse idle temps. I expected the latter. Maybe my...

Thinking about selling the race car, again

Mine isn't modded to any serious degree realistically, and it would not be possible to pass emissions in CA. Assuming here, you live in Sacramento. I moved to Sparks NV a couple years ago, and to pass emissions here I have to use some trickery to do it. Where I used to live, Montana, anything...

Thinking about selling the race car, again

Sorry to hear you're thinking of getting rid of it. It's a common thing. I remember years ago Chevykiller basically saying the same type of thing on here. Wishing he had just left it streetable with just a blower kit on it and that's about it. Reading these stories is partly why I kept mine...

What have you done to your mustang today?

Car has been sitting. A lot. Weather hasn't been that great, and beyond going for a cruise, not much else to do at the moment for obvious reasons.

    Wheel hop

When the coyote first came out I remember reading that people with autos could get away with stock control arms and bushings. No wheel hop. The manuals seemed to be much more prone to it.

What have you done to your mustang today?

Been driving it as much as I can as long as the temp is over freezing. Cold enough in the morning that I can't really drive it to work with the pavement being in the 20s. More worried about the drag radials getting destroyed by the low temps than anything else. Noticed that apparently I'm...

    I'm Out

I enjoy visiting LV. Wife and I saw a show at the MGM last year (cirque du soleil) which was really pretty cool. Great places to eat there too.

Let's get this forum going again...

Ah yes, I remember the days of Chevykiller. Still have my 2014 car. Not getting rid of it for a new one either. It's with me until I wreck it or sell out of necessity. If I grenade the gen1 stock engine then it'll be a roller for a while until I put a new one in. Facebook is OK but I prefer...

Tick sound when engine is warm

My 2014 makes a funny noise too, and has for some time. Not really sure what to make of it. It isn't a knock, more of a tick but kinda hard to characterize it. One of these days I'll post a video up, if it doesn't let go before then. I'm lazy, and really don't feel like tearing it apart to...

    Pulled my HE fans

I removed the fans and the bosch pump. Upgraded to the GT500 pump. After refilling I had white floating specks looked like dandruff in the degas. Tried flushing the system, put over 20g through it. Got some of it out, there is still a little left in there. On one of the hoses I removed (the...

Bad rear end gear oil experience.

FWIW, I had a one tire fire after dumping friction modifier into the rear diff on my 2006 car. The synth I put in there already had the additive. Too much, and I had a problem. Drain and fill it was fine again. Different car but I swapped the gear oil in my subaru out with OEM stuff and ever...

    5.0 radiator drain

Sounds like the thermostat would need to come out then? If I want to try a gravity flush then where do you add the water from? Thanks

    o2 sensor spacers

If I run into problems passing I may throw the spacers back on and attempt to resolve the issue with a tune change at that point. If that fails plan B is to put the stock cats back on and then have vmp update the tune for me. They'll encrypt it though so unfortunately I won't be able to make...

    5.0 radiator drain

I'd like to get as much out as I can and draining at the radiator gets 1/3 at most. I have read you can remove the lower radiator hose and then run the car briefly to get a lot more out. Never done this before so am not sure on the process. Does the thermostat need to come out for this to...

    o2 sensor spacers

I ended up discovering that when I setup a second emissions tune. At that point though I was pretty much done trying to get it to pass with spacers and the original tune. In the future if the car won't pass with the existing setup and I have to try spacers again I'll re-enable the rear O2 sensors.

    o2 sensor spacers

On my 2014 car the spacers did not let the monitors pass. The tune had the CEL nulled out so I never got a code however the car would never pass an OBD2 emission test with or without the spacers. There are ways to get around these issues however it has gotten much harder. If you can write...

    Replacing GT500 AB

It's a bummer. Nothing I can do about it now. At least I got the "best" price possible. Was looking forward to installing them Saturday.

    Replacing GT500 AB

This sucks. LMP shipped from PA. So not only will this not make it here for the weekend it has to go all that way without damage. I wouldn't have put that order in if I knew this.

    Replacing GT500 AB

I found a sale at LMP. After a week of contemplation, gnashing of teeth, etc. in the end I caved. I'm getting the Borla Touring 11836BC with the black chrome tips. It won't be as loud as I want but at this point I don't think I'd ever be happy with a truly loud exhaust on this car due to...
