hp/de's dont require speed shifting they require precise shifts so that you dont go from 5th to 2nd when you dont want too. and you cant always depend on the shift gates to get you there.

just finished doing it the economical way. I think they came out great, time will tell if they hold up! pics are pretty self explanatory:
