So the out of range could also be where the cable attaches to the trans. There is some adjustability to that. Do you have a truck trans by any chance? Mine is a truck trans and I had to purchase the arm that bolts to the side of the trans for the mustang and swap it out. F150 cable pulls...

I don't know the answer to this. I'd suggest looking on say rockauto or tasca and go through selecting v6 and v8 and see if the same part numbers show up.

I have used the TB as part of the controller. It works well. I grounded one side a momentary switch and then the other side runs to the controller.

Coyote with a carb and a turbo...why? Why not.

Where are you in MD. I'm in Severn, currently in Dubai for all of 2018. I can't wait to see this thing when I get home. Considering swapping out the built 3v at some point to go with an already running 6r80 in the car.

Yea I'm sure there is another wire on the shifter hook up harness that gives the proper voltage when those conditions are met, I just didn't do the right combination of things to find it.

Great question....I believe 05 stroker posted an output diagram of the shifter a few pages back and which wire he wired everything to. During my wiring I wasn't able to figure that part out. I think it may have been a combination of me not having the car keyed on or something, but I ended up...

I'd stay f150 if you like the looks and it works. All you need is to intercept the +/- button on the shifter to function the light blue and dark blue wires on quick 6. Nothing else goes to the controller from the shifter. Like I mentioned, the throw of the shifter is going to be off if you...

I just purchased a used 13-14 GT shifter for the select shift feature. I love the feature and it is very responsive. I used an f150 trans and but a mustang shifter. I had to purchase a mustang lever arm on the side of the trans(the piece that the cable hooks to). I initially flipped the f150...

The only difference I am noticing is in the settings where you can select your transmission, 6r80, you can choose between power levels. Not sure exactly that changes based on your choice. Under 450hp, 450-750hp, and then over 750hp

NOTICE!!!!! There is a new version of the software up on the website. This incorporates new power levels for the trans and tailors pressures based on that. It is actually a step above what Karl had given me a few weeks back(based on what he told me in an email). I have yet to load it in my...

I think the thermostat is 175* IIRC. I have the PBH adapter to the trans that gives you AN fittings off of it. I have these running to a B&M supercooler mounted under my spare tire area. To buy the lines and cooler brand new off a mustang are a few hundred I believe. If PBH makes a 500 kit...

Nice pass! Mine from 2 weeks ago was 6.87@109. You must have gotten a really good 60 out of yours. So Karl had sent me a new .DEF file that I had to put into my computer then open my tune and change the trans type from regular 6r80 to highpower 6r80. If you email him, he will send it to you...

So last night I was able to do a WOT pull on the street at low boost to test and verify the shifting. Basically I wanted the 2-3 and 3-4 shifts. Those were the two that flared on me at the track. Karl already took a look at these shifts and said that they great and that there wasn't flare at...

Well here is what you can do to verify you have it set correct: Open up your tune file, go to settings, then TPS, then look at the Idle and WOT TPS voltages in the boxes. If you then key on with your laptop connected to the controller, look at the boxes below your tune file in the main screen...

"FIRMNESS" I'll respond to the firmness first I didn't really adjust my firmness over what the medium-firm tune gave me. 10%=27 40%=63 70-100%=98 I may adjust this later I just remember going through a learn process and Karl had mentioned if you go too aggressive on the firmness during...

So the car sits on GT500 Rear BMR drag springs, Viking Crusaders, BMR LCA brackets, Billet LCAs, stock upper and a 15" front and rear Weld setup. The t56Magnum was changed out and I am not running a built 6r80 with the Quick 6 Controller. I went to the JPC rental at Capitol Raceway...

Just an update: So based on my track visit on Sunday Sept 24th I've been working with Karl to try to fix my transmission Flare issue. The only way I can see it in the log is if Ratio Slip RPM, the purple line, turned on. In my track pass that slip shot way up to almost 4k rpm on my 2-3 and my...

Well that relieves me some about the "learn shift timing" not being checked but I'm hoping he sees something in the readback tune file that is causing me issues. I'd definitely keep an eye on it. I made mention to Mike yesterday for his as well. He was about to start doing some WOT passes...

    6R80 in my 05

After the firmware update I used the medium firm 6000k tune file. I'm going through little bit of an issue with mine. I went to the track this weekend and the trans is flaring on shifts pretty bad. Karl thinks that the controller hadn't fully learned, but I had driven a few hundred miles on...

    6R80 in my 05

He had been talking to Bruce out in Utah about being a Beta tester on the transbrake, but I think he's trying to use the JMS. Weren't people blowing up trans with those? I'd be a little iffy to throw that on my car even though my trans is build. The only reason I knew to reflash it was...

Yea the wiring is what took me the longest, but I went from a manual. I am currently using the 6r80 tune file that came in shiftware 5.13. It is the MediumFirm Shift 6000. I adjusted some of the lower gears but for the most part that tune file is pretty good. One thing nobody has said but I...
