The market is being flooded with coatings - I've tried Opticoat 2.0, Opti Glosscoat, Pinnacle Black Label, Cquartz UK, Blackfire Crystal Coat, and Polish Angel Cosmic. The challenge is the everyday consumer probably will not put forth any effort to polish the paint prior to coating application...

Hmm good question. I used my Flex with a white hybrid pad the results were pretty dam amazing. In addition, after using Primer, ipa/eraser wipedown is not required - went straight to applying Cosmic... In the hands of a skilled detailer, sf4500 would be hard to beat...

There's 2 parts to Glasscoat - Invincible Primer and Cosmic Invincible is actually a super fine diminishing polish...

If you go with Cosmic, do not use Primer on the vinyl stripes, it contains abrasives and will scratch the vinyl. You can however apply cosmic by itself to protect the vinyl...

Yes you can apply to your stripes but are you ok with the stripes becoming glossy?

I don't doubt you but you would be surprised how much better it would look polished. In theory it should exhibit more gloss...

Never used either one so can't comment. There's an abundance of polishes and compounds available - it's really a matter of preference. More importantly, a lot has to do with your technique.
