Just want to throw an info in, that there are actually at least two part numbers, 281 for 05-06 MY and 282 for 07-09 and a third one for 2010 IIRC...

^This There was a Little missmatch between block and head and the RTV was not applied in a sufficient ammount...

For anyone interested: the oil leak was between the driver`s side head and the block, appearantly the head was shifted slightly to the front, so the timing cover gasked could not seal properly. All good now.

Looks great, I`d love to have one in the OEM flat black powdercoat Color...

I got some Magnaflow "Bullet" 14156 race mufflers welded into my h-pipe, 3v tho... They are about 4" in diameter and 6" in lenght. Sounds awesome combined with SLP loudmouths. Cold start is loud, cruising is surprisingly quiet and WOT is just awesome. Slight drone around 2100rpm, deep tone...

I like the flat black Timing cover in combination with the ATI very much! My build is very similar to yours, good luck!

Thanks to everyone for their Input. My mechanic thinks the front cover is leaking on the drivers side right above the oil filter adapter, that`s why it makes a puddle there. Probably not done correctly by him while building the engine. He will renew the gaskets and the rtv silicone on the front...

My newly built engine (2013 GT500 oil pump, motorcraft gaskets and oil filter) startet to leak oil after the first let`s say 100 miles. Just a few drops after parking it while cooling down but with time the wind while driving spreads it all over the underside and it starts to smell typically...

Throw the stock engine in, enjoy another few years of fun while building an engine or waiting for a good deal on one.

I have Magnaflow "Bullet" Race mufflers welded into the midpipe, SLP loudmouths at the back. The bullets are about 4" in Diameter, look the part number up. This Combo sounds perfect in my taste. Refined through the whole rpm band, decent while cruising and monstrous when I`m flooring it.
