2008 Mustang GT manual - throttle pulsing & high rpm stalling

AC ripple testing shows voltage bouncing between 50 and 60mV with some random split second jumps to as high as 80mV. Disconnected the alternator positive cable and tested against it and the battery negative. This was done at idle. Disconnecting both VCT solenoids has no effect.

2008 Mustang GT manual - throttle pulsing & high rpm stalling

I’ll check those out, too, thanks Yeah I was kinda iffy on the neutral situation. I drive this car so infrequently now (maybe 500 miles year), I feel like I’ve forgotten some basics over the last couple years lol.

2008 Mustang GT manual - throttle pulsing & high rpm stalling

I need to get something to test for ripple. Decided to go ahead and unplug the VCT solenoids and see what happened. No change unfortunately. Still pulses around 45-60 and still dies if you pop it into neutral from a higher speed. I was going about 40 and as soon as I put it in neutral the rpm’s...

2008 Mustang GT manual - throttle pulsing & high rpm stalling

Thanks, I’ll give it a shot. I was getting intermittent idle hangs and a little bit of a lazy throttle even after cleaning the TB (for the second time) so I decided to just go ahead and replace it and hoped it would be two birds with one stone. It did fix my throttle response and hanging idle...

2008 Mustang GT manual - throttle pulsing & high rpm stalling

Hopefully someone can give me a few ideas on what to check here. I've got a 08 GT manual. Basically, over the last couple weeks, when holding speed I get a light bucking/hesitation feeling. It's almost like you're lightly letting off the pedal and tapping it. It's not major but feels like a...

What have you done to your mustang today?

Reinstalled my rear seat belts. Removed them over a year ago when I had the interior apart chasing a rattle. Never put them back in. Decided I needed to just do it. Also adjusted my sway bars down a notch. I must be getting old because I can’t take a kidney beating anymore lol

    Ever miss your fog lights?

Nope. I installed a Bullitt grille when I first got the car. Then I sold it for a stock grille because I needed more light. It really didn't add much and simply readjusting my headlights made more of a difference. Sold the grille and put a Bullitt grille back in. Makes the front end of my car...

What have you done to your mustang today?

Took out my driver side seat and reattached the front clip. This time it made a satisfying "click" so hopefully it stays in place. Still getting used to not sinking in the seat because of the new foam and cover. Not my car but replaced the headlight on my fiancées Matrix. Clouded up some...

What have you done to your mustang today?

Update: Not hard, just time consuming. Swapping over the heating elements requires cutting shallow holes into the foam and using Super 77 to stick them on. Not to mention all the damn wires everywhere underneath lol. Should be done in another hour or two. Taking my time.

What have you done to your mustang today?

I can definitely understand that. Originally, I was going to grab some 2010 GT500 wheels until I saw them on my color and model. Didn't work for me. After that, I was looking at 07-09 GT500 wheels for a bit but ultimately decided I wanted something a little more retro looking.

I found it on eBay a while back. It has a threaded rod coming out the back and a plate with a nut to hold it into a grill. Search pony grill emblem on eBay and it should come up
