For Sale: 2008 Ford Mustang GT with 23,660 miles.

The motor is currently blown. There is a hole in the passenger side of the block so it's not salvageable. Condition of the cylinder heads is currently unknown.

The car made 825rwhp and 811rwtq last time it was on the dyno. All of the mods listed below have less than 3000 miles and have been inspected and are in good working order.

The car has been garage kept it's entire life and I have owned it since it was new. The interior and exterior are in excellent condition. All of the factory equipment works like new and the interior even smells like new.

This is a bring your own short block project. The car is complete and nothing has been removed from the car.

Asking $16,000 OBO Car is currently located in my garage in Mckinney, TX

Just curious as to how the engine blew? It looks like it was a built block.

yes, how did it blow? This concerns me because I was going the built route with my car and now I read this....any background on the issue?

It was a built block. I haven't disassembled the engine, but it looks like a rod let go. I had previously melted a piston on that same side and it could have causes some damage to the rod in the process. Hard to say really, but at around 900 to the wheels I was pushing it pretty hard.

Either way the car isn't for sale anymore so I'll lock this thread.
