2011 GT. Horn honks when turning.

So i installed a boss 302 Alcentara steering wheel in my 2011 GT about a month and a half to 2 months ago and have had zero problems with it. but this morning i realized that when i have my wheel turned and hit any kind of minor bump in the road it activates the horn. i haven’t found anyone with this exact issue on this year model but from what i’ve gathered through minor research i would guess that the clock spring is the culprit but i wanted to ask around on here and make sure that it could be the clock spring that needs to be replaced before wasting $100 dollars on a unnecessary part. thanks

its definitely in the clock spring, but the part may not necessarily be bad. You mentioned installing a new wheel. I would go back through and double check your connections, especially the spade terminal that grounds the horn button itself through the CS. Very possible a wire is binding or the shielding is stripped off etc, especially when the wheel is max rotated and twisted up
