2012 spare tire

Hello, new owner here.

Been looking for a spare tire kit for my new toy, 2012 Mustang V6 Premium. No performance package or Brembro brakes. It does have 18 inch wheels.
I found this in my search but says doesn't fit my car.

I know the bolt pattern is the same. Is their something else that makes it incompatible?

That is just the wheel. Add the tire, jack, and lug wrench, the price is more than the kit I posted. I am willing to go that route but I still would like to know why the kit in the link is incompatible.

their website says it won't fit my 2012 GT either. Probably a website error. Have you tried calling them?

Not yet. Could be something as simple as a different offset. I just thought that maybe someone here had already tried newer spares.

If anyone is interested, I messaged a Ford dealer parts department and they said the kit in the first post should work for my 2012. It is smaller in diameter than my existing tires but if used for short distance at low speed (50 mph) it will be fine. I did buy it and it fit fine in the trunk. I am going on a trip to visit my son. Don't want to rely on the goop.
