2013 Shelby GT500 Bolt Ons - Let It Eat! Featured Article on 5.0 Mustang Magazine!

Our friends at 5.0 Mustang Magazine featured our 2013 GT500 in the November issue which can be found in the link above.

As our build progresses, we wanted to show the community the massive potential that this car possesses with just simple bolt-ons. Most of you may be aware already, but if not, now is the time to get familiar.

With just a few easy bolt ons, you can really awaken the beast that is the 2013 GT500. We started with the JLT 2010-2013 Shelby GT500 123mm Plastic Big Air Intake Kit, the Lethal Performance 2013 GT500 3" Offroad X-pipe, and a Lund Racing Custom Tuned SCT X3 Handheld Programmer. When it came to the throttle body, we used both the Whipple Shelby GT500 "Big Bore" Mono Blade Throttle Body (Black), and the Ford Racing Super Cobra Jet Oval Throttle Body.

Check out how all of the bolt on's stacked up on the dyno!

After we got a good idea of what we were dealing with, we added American Racing longtube headers and a Nitrous ProFlo Nitrous Kit. Take a look at both of them here:

I know Ford did some small modifications to the fuel system from 2012-2013, but were they that massive?

I know they went from 47lb injector to a 55lb, and dual 225lph pumps to I thought 300? I could be wrong, but wow if so thats amazing.

I was running out of fuel with just 72lb injectors with 750rwhp on my 2012, and had to run a bap. Now I'm fine but this is impressive with the 2013.

Definitely impressive to say the least. I know on the older Shelby's, the 72's will ceiling right at 700 so your set up was right on track.

With the motor getting worked on, and the 4.0L Whipple going in, there will definitely be some modifications to the fuel system. We'll let you guys know once it's completed.

I'm over 800 with the 2.875 and shell urt-a with a competition dual bap and 72's... still looks to be fine. With this said though, I am looking at going with probably bosche 105's this winter.
