Greetings, all! a newb from the philly burbs checking in. bought the wife an 06 v6 ragtop. she's a cancer survivor, so, it was a moral imperative I buy her a stang, (she's wanted one since she was a kid, as, her neighbor across the street had a 66) and, I figured, a convertible because of that "only live once" thing.
after paying it off, (and, dealing with the airbag recall from the proverbial hotplace, I realized just how much work this little turkey needs.
to make matters all the more enjoyable, she wants to turn it into an "Eleanor"...with a catch.
instead of those big black rally stripes, bright screaming green ones.
trying to do this on a "still hip deep, and, head first in medical bills" budget. hilarity will undoubtedly ensue...plus, the throwing of a lot of wrenches, and, the creation of 7 or 8 new swear words.
replacing the top will be first...may God have mercy on my soul.
