Thanks. I used an angle grinder to cut them off then I took my orbital sander and cleaned up the remaining weld. After that I used 320 grit on the orbital to clean up all the original brushed marks on the whole tank. I spent probably an hour polishing the tank.
I would really like to center the manifold above the tank but the oval cutouts on the rear deck are to small. I might try to make a bracket so I can "pinch" the rear deck between the manifold and bracket.

Well made a bracket to pinch the deck between the manifold and bracket. Now everything is centered. Anyone have a pic of where they mounted the compressor? Being on the road all week sucks I never have time to work on the car. Sorry TIME2SHO I didn't mean to Jack your thread.

    Jas,

Just order my airlift this week and looking for ideas on my install and saw your pic's. The tank and management install came out great to you have any finished picture of the compressor install?

    Thanks

20170604_140933.jpg 20170604_140925.jpg Here are a couple of final install pics. Hope this helps. I still have almost full use of my trunk and was able to keep my spare tire also.

Nice install jas2234. I like my install but now I like yours better. Dang it.....Now I may have to change my compressor location. My compressor is under the tank to the right side. It just barely fit but like you it frees up all my trunk space. Great Job.

Thanks. I looked all over for different ways to mount everything cause I still wanted full use of my trunk and to keep my spare. I trimmed the carpet under the compressor for a clean look. I ran the wires and hose up the wheel well to hide everything. I did have to buy an 18" hose to extend the one on the compressor to the tank.

Josh hope you are still monitoring this thread, I just placed my order for the same 6" mount. By any chance do you have pictures for reference of this: "Also marks where new holes need to be drilled. The new mounting bolts will need to be counter sunk to clear the strap mount bolts." Any information you can provide would be greatly appreciated.

Yes the new bolts will need to be countersunk. The straps are directly above. I used 1/4-20 stainless. As for where to mount I just measured so the tank was centered and the mounts are between the oval cutouts on the rear deck. If you need anything just let me know.

Thanks Josh this helps. Old eagle eye did not notice the marks in the earlier pictures you made for the holes. The 6" mounts do not ship until April 23, maybe by then the ice will have melted as we have had 2 days of freezing rain, ice pelts and snow. When will spring come! Thanks again!
