I bought a set of 10th anniversary style 18x9s for an 05+ from you guys a bit ago. I jumped back on the site because I was curious what the offset and backspacing are - trying to dial in optimal stance and tire fender orientation.

So I jump on the AM site and see for these wheels 30mm offset and 157 mm back spacing. That seemed like they would sit pretty flush with the fender with those measurements, in fact the offset was lower than I thought it would be. http://www.americanmuscle.com/anthracite-10th-18x9-0512.html

So I was curious and looked at the same wheel for the 99-04 cars and was shocked to see the same numbers. http://www.americanmuscle.com/anthracite-10th-18x9-9404.html

Are they the same wheel? There are different part numbers for each so I'm wondering how they are different.

I looked at a few more with the same result.

2013 GT500 style wheels 18x9 for both 05+ and 99-04 with 30mm offset and 157 mm back spacing but different part numbers:

There's quite a few wheels for both generation cars with these same measurements. If those numbers are correct, what is the thought there? In order to fit both cars, they will have to sit flush to the fender on an S197 and stick under the fender more than OEM on the 99-04.

Thanks for the help!

Hey Phorty-That's a really good question and a good catch! The wheels will have the same specs on them in order to be able to fit most if not all generations and they're compatible on any 1994 through 2012. We test fit absolutely every combination on site here either on our project cars, employees cars, or even mine to ensure that they're going to fit perfectly and look awesome! We'll do this up to a 20" wheel and tire and down to a 2" drop. If for any reason you're not satisfied with them I'm happy to bend our return policy for you and have a return setup. Let me know if you're to have any questions at all and I'm here to help any way I can!

Who cares. The bama 15' went in the 9's

 You saw that too, Brent! That car can boogie right?! I can't wait to see what they're doing next. I'm pushin' for a blower!
