Tinted and cleared my taillights about 6 months ago, few months later I notice the clear was starting to crack and shit, over the weekend I did them again, wet sanded everything down re cleared dupli-colors clear coat then wet sanded and polished up using my buffer, they were perfect.

Not 2 fuckin days later they look like this;

What temperature was it when you did this? I tried tinting my tails in a 40 degree garage once and they looked like this. Also, what brand clear coat are you using. I know their is a specific brand/type clear that works best over night shades

I've had the best luck using dupicolor acrylic enamel spray paint. Seems to hold up the best. It is just hard to find a place that sells it.

It was a typical warm sunny day in south florida. Pretty sure it was dupicolors acrylic clear I used. Doesn't matter at this point I bought the '14 style tails. They seemed to fix my electrical woes too.

Looks like the clear is reacting with the smoke tint. I usually don't clear over taillight tint, just paint and polish them.
