Anyone break an idler pulley off?

That would explain the longer belts.

No problem. Thanks for checking this out. Also, I'm not sure if I was clear, but its the lip of the S/C pulley and the extension arm pulley that are where the belts are getting caught up.

Well, my baby is back on the road. My buddy Mike and I replaced the valve cover seal last night and buttoned everything back up. Test drove it with only minor tune issues I had before that I hope to get tweeked. I drove it all day today and no issues either.

Hey Z, where did you get the timing cover from for that price? Also, to date, have you kept the extension arm off? I've been waiting for a pulley and bolts forever and thinking about sending it back.

The other 90mm idler seems like the barings has a rough spot. I need to order some new idler pulleys. I did notice that the idler pulley on the electric water pump has about 7 thousands in and out play but otherwise rotates freely. I’m wondering if that might be a problem. The pump is about 9 years old and has kept me from being stranded several times wen belts broke.

Send them back to thump and they will fix them up with new bearings Z.
